Nanswagi Abdu Nagwere has progressed through a number of political ladders. This dates as far back as high school times, as member of UNSA. He has been at it all as youth league leader for industrial division and later vice chairman NRM youth league. He is apparently the NRM party General Secretary for Mbale District. It is on the premise of his rich political background that he now stands out high to vie for chairmanship NRM party, Mbale City (2021-2026)
