ABOUT PFF
Poltava Film Festival launched in 2016 and screened 20 documentary films and shorts of various length in two categories. This new film festival is reaching out beyond Ukraine to discover the international documentary scene and invite both film makers and the public to enjoy the art of film and reflect on it's meaning. PFF focuses both on young Ukrainian film makers as well as internatio
nal titles in many genres. Poltava Film Festival mission is to make a platform for upcoming local film makers in addition to make a great meeting place with well established film makers and artists. The festival aims to present Ukrainian audiences a quality selection of world documentaries, providing a friendly atmosphere for interaction between the audience and film makers from all around the world. The festival is backed by the Poltava's local partners. The directors of PFF are Einar Thor Gunnlaugsson (Iceland) and Oleg Mingalev (Ukraine),
INVITED DOCUMENTARY FILMS
Festival programmers select and invite films to be screened at PFF. Invited filmmakers will be notified by email, and they must sign a release agreement wherein they accept responsibility for obtaining all clearances necessary and warrant that they have the rights necessary to exhibit their film at PFF. For the competitive program the festival will invite a delegation of two representatives of a film with a preference of a Director and Producer. The festival provides these guests round trip airfare in economy class and three nights in a hotel. SELECTED FILMS, SUBMISSION
Dates: Submission open from 1. May 2018. Submission open to Ukrainian documentary films produced in 2016 or later, 30 min or longer. No submission material but online entree to preview of film with password, with English subtitles. Names of

- Poster (pdf) if available. All costs related to the sending of the DVD copy and publicity materials are paid by the submitter or film representative. Submitted preview copies are not returned. All packages must be clearly marked with the title of the film, the sender’s / submitters name and the festival address. CATEGORIES
- A ten film line up for competition.
- Fifteen films screened in "open space" category, non-competitive program. AWARDS:

JURY:
The Festival's directors appoint the Jury consisting of three members. No jury member may have been involved in the production or promotion of any film in the competition.
