🇺🇦 Ukrainian drones are changing the course of the war.

The Washington Post, one of the most influential newspapers in the United States, has published an in-depth report on how Ukraine’s drone forces helped halt Russia’s offensive and, for the first time in two years, enabled Ukrainian forces to reclaim more territory than the enemy managed to seize.

Among those featured in the article is Major Yevhen Karas, commander of the 413th Unmanned Systems Regiment “Raid.” Back in 2022, he was among the pioneers behind Ukraine’s first long-range UAV strikes deep into enemy territory.

Today, the “Raid” Regiment conducts drone operations at distances of up to 1,000 kilometers, striking hundreds of military targets every month.

Major Karas is confident that Ukraine’s drone capabilities will continue to expand — and that Russia is not prepared for what comes next.

🇺🇦 The 413th Unmanned Systems Regiment “Raid” continues to prove its effectiveness on the battlefield.

In May 2026, the regiment ranked #2 among all Ukrainian Defense Forces units in the Delta situational awareness system for aerial reconnaissance results.

This achievement follows two consecutive months at the very top of the ranking, with “Raid” taking 1st place in both March and April.

The rating is based on verified detections of high-value enemy targets located more than 15 km behind the front line. These targets include air defense systems, radar stations, self-propelled artillery, armored vehicles, and multiple launch rocket systems.

Every detected target is verified within the Delta system and becomes the basis for precision strikes by Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

Accurate intelligence saves lives, disrupts enemy operations, and creates opportunities for success on the battlefield.

🇺🇦 On the morning of June 3, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck an oil terminal in St. Petersburg and the Kronstadt naval base — more than 1,100 km from Ukraine’s border.

The operation targeted a key oil export facility that also supports Russia’s military logistics. Ukrainian drones reportedly also hit the corvette Boykiy of Russia’s Baltic Fleet while it was in dry dock in Kronstadt.

The strike carried both military and political significance. It took place on the opening day of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), where Russia seeks to showcase stability and attract international partners.

The successful operation against strategic targets near St. Petersburg once again highlighted the vulnerability of Russian air defenses, even in one of the country’s most heavily protected regions.

Every successful strike means fewer enemy assets on the battlefield and greater safety for Ukrainian defenders.

🔥 RAID: Strike, don’t complain.

Operators of the 413th Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment “RAID” carried out a series of precision strikes against Russian military infrastructure deep behind enemy lines.

Targets included:
▪️ Logistics and supply depots used by Russia’s 36th Motorized Rifle Brigade and other units of the 29th Army near Buhas and Novoselivka.
▪️ A major supply depot of Russia’s 51st Army near Dokuchaievsk.
▪️ Supply depots and a temporary deployment site of Russian naval infantry units near Signalne.

These facilities were located at key railway and road junctions, serving as critical logistics hubs where Russian forces concentrated troops, ammunition, and equipment for future offensive operations.

Notably, some of these targets were located in parts of Donbas that have been under Russian occupation since 2014.

🔥 RAID: Strike, don’t complain.

🕸️ One Year After Operation “Spiderweb”

On June 1, 2025, Ukraine changed the rules of modern warfare.

Hidden inside ordinary trucks, AI-assisted FPV drones struck Russia’s most protected strategic airbases — Engels, Olenya, and Belaya — from point-blank range.

The result:

✈️ Up to 34% of Russia’s long-range aviation fleet disabled.
✈️ Up to 15 Tu-95MS strategic bombers lost.
✈️ A-50 AEW&C aircraft and aerial tankers damaged.
✈️ Billions of dollars in losses.

But the most important fact isn’t the cost.

Russia can build new missiles. It can build new drones.

It cannot build new Tu-95MS strategic bombers.

One year later, the effects are still visible. Tu-95MS strikes have decreased significantly, while Tu-22M3 deployments have become increasingly rare.

Operation “Spiderweb” proved that in the age of AI-enabled drones, even strategic aviation parked thousands of kilometers from the front line is no longer safe.

A historic operation that will be studied for years to come.

💥 May was a month of relentless strikes by the Raid Regiment.

In just one month, operators of the 413th Raid Regiment targeted:
▪️ 5 enemy air defense systems
▪️ 6 radar stations
▪️ 107 drone launch sites
▪️ 162 Russian troops eliminated from combat operations

🔥 Raid operators also took part in the “Moscow Never Sleeps” operation, striking military-related targets in and around Moscow.

🛢 Strategic strikes hit key Russian oil infrastructure, including facilities in Ryazan, Nizhny Novgorod, and Syzran.

⚡ Throughout May, Raid drones relentlessly targeted enemy bases, ammunition depots, command posts, and logistics hubs across occupied Ukrainian territories.

One notable strike hit personnel from Russia’s 64th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade — a unit linked to atrocities committed against civilians in Bucha in 2022.

🔥 RAID: Strike, Don’t Whine.

This time, the target was a temporary deployment base of Russia’s 9th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade, part of the 51st Army, located in occupied Bezimenne on the coast of the Azov Sea.

The enemy once again hid military personnel inside civilian infrastructure — turning the former children’s camp “Zironka” into a military base in an attempt to avoid detection.

This is already the second successful strike against the 9th Brigade by “Raid” operators. Earlier in May, they destroyed the brigade’s command post in occupied Pokrovsk. In April, another operation hit the deployment point of Russia’s 36th Motor Rifle Brigade — one of the core assault units of the 29th Combined Arms Army.

Systematic strikes on enemy headquarters, bases, and troop concentrations continue to disrupt Russian offensive capabilities and weaken their command structure.

🔥 RAID: Strike, don’t complain.
