🌱🌍 มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์จัดอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการด้านระบบบริหารจัดการคลังเชื้อพันธุกรรมพืช (GGCE) เสริมสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือด้านทรัพยากรพันธุกรรมพืชระดับชาติและนานาชาติ
ศูนย์วิจัยและพัฒนาพืชผักเขตร้อน (Tropical Vegetable Research Center: TVRC) ภาควิชาพืชสวน คณะเกษตร กำแพงแสน มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ จัดการอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการ “Hands-on Implementation Workshop on Genebank Collection Management System (GGCE-based)” ระหว่างวันที่ 1–2 มิถุนายน 2569 ณ ศูนย์วิจัยและพัฒนาพืชผักเขตร้อน มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ วิทยาเขตกำแพงแสน จังหวัดนครปฐม
🤝 การจัดกิจกรรมครั้งนี้สะท้อนถึงความมุ่งมั่นของมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ในการยกระดับการอนุรักษ์และการใช้ประโยชน์ทรัพยากรพันธุกรรมพืชของประเทศไทย ผ่านการสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือทั้งในระดับนานาชาติและระดับประเทศ โดยได้รับความร่วมมือจากองค์กรชั้นนำระดับโลก ได้แก่ Global Crop Diversity Trust (Crop Trust) และ World Vegetable Center (WorldVeg) ตลอดจนหน่วยงานพันธมิตรภายในประเทศ อาทิ กรมวิชาการเกษตร ศูนย์พันธุวิศวกรรมและเทคโนโลยีชีวภาพแห่งชาติ (BIOTEC-NSTDA) สถาบันวิจัยวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีแห่งประเทศไทย (วว.) และมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีสุรนารี เพื่อร่วมกันพัฒนาศักยภาพด้านการจัดการข้อมูลคลังเชื้อพันธุกรรมพืชตามมาตรฐานสากล
📖 ในการนี้ ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ชัชมาศ กาญจนอุดมการ หัวหน้าศูนย์วิจัยและพัฒนาพืชผักเขตร้อน ภาควิชาพืชสวน คณะเกษตร กำแพงแสน และผู้บริหารจัดการศูนย์รวมผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านเมล็ดพันธุ์ผักของประเทศไทย (Veg-SeedHub) ภายใต้การสนับสนุนของสำนักงานการวิจัยแห่งชาติ (วช.) ได้กล่าวรายงานความเป็นมาและวัตถุประสงค์ของการจัดกิจกรรม พร้อมทั้งเน้นย้ำถึงความสำคัญของการบริหารจัดการข้อมูลทรัพยากรพันธุกรรมพืชให้มีมาตรฐาน สามารถเชื่อมโยงกับฐานข้อมูลระดับโลก และเพิ่มการใช้ประโยชน์เชื้อพันธุกรรมเพื่อสนับสนุนการวิจัย การปรับปรุงพันธุ์พืช และความมั่นคงทางอาหารในอนาคต
🎤 โอกาสนี้ รักษาการแทนอธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ และรองอธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ วิทยาเขตกำแพงแสน ได้มอบหมายให้ ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.สุกัญญา รัตนทับทิมทอง ผู้ช่วยอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิจัย บริการวิชาการและวิเทศสัมพันธ์ วิทยาเขตกำแพงแสน กล่าวต้อนรับผู้เข้าร่วมอบรมและกล่าวเปิดงานอย่างเป็นทางการ พร้อมแสดงวิสัยทัศน์ของมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ในการเป็นผู้นำด้านการอนุรักษ์และการใช้ประโยชน์ทรัพยากรพันธุกรรมพืชของประเทศผ่านความร่วมมือระดับนานาชาติ
🎁 นอกจากนี้ ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ชัยสิทธิ์ ทองจู คณบดีคณะเกษตร กำแพงแสน ได้ให้เกียรติต้อนรับวิทยากรและผู้เข้าร่วมอบรม พร้อมมอบของที่ระลึกแก่ผู้แทนจากหน่วยงานพันธมิตรที่ให้การสนับสนุนการจัดกิจกรรมในครั้งนี้
👥 การอบรมมีผู้เข้าร่วมทั้งสิ้น 26 คน ประกอบด้วยบุคลากรจากมหาวิทยาลัย หน่วยงานวิจัย และองค์กรที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการอนุรักษ์และใช้ประโยชน์ทรัพยากรพันธุกรรมพืชจากทั่วประเทศ
💻 เนื้อหาการอบรมครอบคลุมการใช้งานระบบ GGCE ซึ่งเป็นระบบบริหารจัดการคลังเชื้อพันธุกรรมที่ได้รับการยอมรับในระดับนานาชาติ โดยผู้เข้าร่วมได้เรียนรู้ทั้งภาคทฤษฎีและภาคปฏิบัติ ตั้งแต่การจัดการข้อมูลเชื้อพันธุกรรม การจัดการคลังเมล็ดพันธุ์ การทดสอบความงอก การเพิ่มปริมาณเมล็ดพันธุ์ การกระจายเชื้อพันธุกรรม ตลอดจนการเชื่อมโยงข้อมูลสู่ระบบ Genesys ซึ่งเป็นฐานข้อมูลทรัพยากรพันธุกรรมพืชระดับโลก

🏅 ในพิธีปิดการอบรม ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ภาสันต์ ศารทูลทัต หัวหน้าภาควิชาพืชสวน คณะเกษตร กำแพงแสน ได้ให้เกียรติมอบประกาศนียบัตรแก่ผู้ผ่านการอบรมทั้ง 26 ท่าน ร่วมกับคณะวิทยากร เพื่อแสดงความยินดีและเป็นกำลังใจในการนำองค์ความรู้ที่ได้รับไปประยุกต์ใช้ในการพัฒนางานด้านการอนุรักษ์และใช้ประโยชน์ทรัพยากรพันธุกรรมพืชต่อไป

🌱🌍 Kasetsart University Strengthens National and International Collaboration in Plant Genetic Resources through GGCE Genebank Management Workshop
The Tropical Vegetable Research Center (TVRC), Department of Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture at Kamphaeng Saen, Kasetsart University, successfully organized the “Hands-on Implementation Workshop on Genebank Collection Management System (GGCE-based)” on 1–2 June 2026 at the Tropical Vegetable Research Center, Kasetsart University, Kamphaeng Saen Campus, Nakhon Pathom, Thailand.
🤝 The workshop reflected Kasetsart University’s commitment to strengthening the conservation and utilization of Thailand’s plant genetic resources through collaboration at both national and international levels. The event was organized in partnership with leading international organizations, including the Global Crop Diversity Trust (Crop Trust) and the World Vegetable Center (WorldVeg), together with national partners such as the Department of Agriculture (DOA), the National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC-NSTDA), the Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR), and Suranaree University of Technology.
📖 Assistant Professor Dr. Chutchamas Kanchana-udomkan, Head of the Tropical Vegetable Research Center, Department of Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture at Kamphaeng Saen, and Director of the Hub of Talents for Thai Vegetable Seeds (Veg-SeedHub), supported by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), presented the background and objectives of the workshop. She emphasized the importance of standardized genebank data management, global data connectivity, and the utilization of genetic resources to support research, plant breeding, and future food security through collaboration.
🎤 On this occasion, the Acting President of Kasetsart University and the Vice President for Kasetsart University Kamphaeng Saen Campus delegated Assistant Professor Dr Sukanya Rattanatabtimtong, Assistant to the President for Research, Academic Service, and International Affairs, Kamphaeng Saen Campus, to officially welcome participants and declare the workshop open. In her remarks, she highlighted Kasetsart University’s vision of becoming a leading institution in plant genetic resources conservation and utilization through international collaboration and innovation.
🎁 Participants and invited speakers were also warmly welcomed by Assistant Professor Dr Chaisit Tongjoo, Dean of Faculty of Agriculture at Kamphaeng Saen, who presented tokens of appreciation to representatives from partner organizations supporting the workshop.
👥 A total of 26 participants attended the training, representing universities, research institutes, and organizations involved in plant genetic resources conservation and utilization across Thailand.
💻 The workshop provided both theoretical and hands-on training on the GRIN Global Community Edition (GGCE), an internationally recognized genebank management platform. Participants gained practical experience in accession and passport data management, seed inventory management, seed viability testing, seed multiplication management, germplasm distribution, and data integration with Genesys, the global portal for plant genetic resources information.

🏅 During the closing ceremony, Assistant Professor Dr Parson Saradhuldhat, Head of the Department of Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture at Kamphaeng Saen, presented certificates of completion to all 26 participants together with the trainers, congratulating them on their successful completion of the workshop and encouraging them to apply the knowledge gained to strengthen plant genetic resources conservation and utilization in their respective organizations.
