𝐉𝐮𝐛𝐚, 𝟏𝟏 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 — The Chairperson of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) in Central Equatoria State, Cde. Emmanuel Adil Anthony, held a leadership meeting with the SPLM State Secretariat to review progress in the Party’s preparations for the forthcoming congresses, membership registration and electoral activities.

SPLM State Secretary, Cde. Ann Kaku Samson, briefed the Chairperson on progress made in strengthening the Party’s organisational structures and readiness across the State. The briefing highlighted ongoing membership registration and preparations for the forthcoming conferences of the SPLM Women’s League, Youth League and Veterans’ League. The Secretariat also presented updates on the number of registered members and the overall preparedness of Party structures.

The State Secretariat further reported that preparations are underway to intensify membership registration and grassroots mobilisation in support of the SPLM flag bearer, 𝐂𝐃𝐄. 𝐇.𝐄. 𝐒𝐀𝐋𝐕𝐀 𝐊𝐈𝐈𝐑 𝐌𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐈𝐓, ahead of the forthcoming elections. An expanded Party membership registration exercise is expected to commence next week as part of efforts to consolidate the Party’s structures and strengthen its electoral preparedness across Central Equatoria State.

Cde. Adil commended the State Secretariat for the progress made and provided guidance on the way forward. He encouraged the leadership, leagues and other Party structures to intensify preparations, strengthen grassroots mobilisation and ensure that the SPLM remains organised and fully prepared for the forthcoming congresses and elections.

It is with deep sorrow that I have learnt of the passing of Hon. Francis Barson Yuasa, a distinguished public servant who served as Minister of Information and Communication of Central Equatoria State, Director of Census during the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA), and Commissioner-General of the Economic Zone during the defunct Jubek State.

Hon. Barson dedicated many years of his life to public service and made valuable contributions to the administration and development of Central Equatoria State and South Sudan. His service to the people will remain an important part of the history of our State and country.

His passing is a profound loss to his family, relatives, friends, colleagues and the wider community. During this difficult time, I stand with the bereaved family and all those mourning his death, and extend my sincere condolences to them.

May the Almighty God grant the bereaved family strength, comfort, and courage to endure this period of grief. May the soul of Hon. Francis Barson Yuasa rest in eternal peace.

It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that I have learnt of the passing of Hon. Eresto Taban Luate, former Commissioner of Lainya County during the defunct Yei River State, and until his passing, a serving member of the State Land Commission and a member of the SPLM Veterans League in Lainya County.

Hon. Eresto Taban Luate served his people and Central Equatoria State with dedication, courage, and commitment. His passing is a painful loss to his family, relatives, friends, colleagues, the people of Lainya County, and Central Equatoria State at large.

Public service is ultimately measured by the lives touched, the responsibilities carried and the memories left behind. Hon. Luate’s years of service formed part of the shared history of the communities he represented.

I extend my deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, relatives, friends and everyone mourning this loss. No words can fully remove the pain of losing a loved one, but may the family find comfort in the prayers, compassion, and support of the community surrounding them.

May God grant the bereaved family strength, comfort, and courage to overcome this difficult period, and may the soul of Hon. Eresto Taban Luate rest in eternal peace.

𝐉𝐔𝐁𝐀, 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 —Central Equatoria State SPLM Chairperson Cde. Emmanuel Adil Anthony has urged the State SPLM Youth League to strengthen unity, consultation and coordination across all levels of the party structure. The Chairperson made the remarks during a meeting with the State SPLM Youth League in Juba, where he encouraged young people to work together, reject tribalism and promote a culture of equality and collective responsibility within the party.

Cde. Adil called on the youth to build a clear plan of work and to align their programmes through consultation. He further urged the Youth League to stay close to its members, maintain regular contact, use youth meetings and networks to strengthen unity, and carry their activities with discipline. He also encouraged the youth to work collectively to support their programmes and activities.

Cde.Adil stressed the importance of remaining creative, organised and united in their work. He encouraged the youth to work through consultation and coordination rather than individually. He called on them to keep unity at the centre of their work and to reject any practice that divides young people by tribe. He urged a shared culture of equality and collective responsibility. “Do not work alone work together,” he emphasised, calling on the youth to see themselves as one team working towards a common goal.

CDE. NEJWA, CALLS FOR PEACE AND UNITY AS SHE SWEARS IN THE SPLM WOMEN'S LEAGUE STEERING COMMITTEE FOR C.E.S

Juba, August 28th, 2026 SPLM-CES-PU

Cde. Nejwa Juma Marsal, SPLM State deputy chairperson presided over the swearing in of the newly appointed SPLM State Women's league steering committee on behalf of H.E. Emmanuel Adil Anthony, SPLM State chairperson of Central Equatoria State.

"Under the theme: strengthening SPLM Women's league in decision making.

She congratulates the newly appointed and sworn in members of the SPLM Women's league. She emphasized that the swearing in ceremony is not merely ceremonial; it's an acceptance of responsibility and a commitment to Serve the SPLM, the people and commitment to serve with integrity, discipline, loyalty and accountability.

Cde. Anna Kaku Samson, SPLM State secretary encouraged the women's league to understand that leadership is service, not privilege and gossip. She calls upon the committee to protect the interests and unity of the SPLM Women's league.

She also highlighted on the importance of strengthening SPLM Women's leadership in decision making through political education and capacity building, unity and discipline, mentorship and generational leadership, women's role in mobilization as agents of peace , and preparations for 2026 general elections.

Cde. Flora sebit, SPLM Chairperson for women's league steering committee stressed on massive mobilizations, recruitment and resource mobilization.

She also emphasized that mobilized crowd is good but a registered card-carrying member is a guaranteed vote. She also encouraged women to march out with unity of purpose and work as a team. No room for internal divisions, only discipline and unity for victory.

COMRADE ANNA, COMMENCES ONE DAY POLITICAL TRAINING TO ENHANCE AND EMPOWER GRASSROOTS STRUCTURES FOR ELECTORAL READINESS BEFORE DECEMBER GENERAL ELECTIONS.

Morobo town, August 13th, 2026 SPLM CES-PU.

The SPLM State secretariat commenced One-day political training at Morobo County head quarter, CES.

The training is to enhance political mobilization, recruitment and to empower grassroots structures for electoral readiness ahead of December general elections.

Cde. Anna, appreciated the county secretariat for their commitment and readiness for this training program.

She urged party cadres to embrace peace, unity and prosperity and to refrain from negative propagandas from the doubting Thomases.

Cde. Mawa Joseph, SPLM County Interim Chairperson reaffirmed their commitment, and dedication toward party ideas and objectives.

He assured that morobo County is 100% for SPLM.
