Hon. Makuei Bec Makuei - MP

Hon. Makuei Bec Makuei - MP I have chosen politics as profession. I am serving as Member of Parliament, LS-RTL, South Sudan.

Politics is not about counting chairs. “How many ministers from this community?” “How many DGs from this county?” That’s not the SPLM way.

‎Look at us here in Yirol West County. Yes, we don’t have many people in big offices in Juba. We know it. We feel it. But we’re not sitting here with a notebook, counting who got what.

‎Why? Because we trust Baba Kiirdit.

‎We believe President Salva Kiir Mayardit sees Yirol West. He knows our sons died for this flag too. He knows we carried food to the SPLA on our heads. When the time is right, he will call on us. And we will answer.

‎But until then, let me tell you what real politics is.

‎Real politics is counting how many of our children went to bed hungry last night. How many of our mothers walked 10 kilometers for water today. That’s the count that keeps me awake.

‎And right now, the only man I trust to fix that — the only one — is President Kiir. Not because he’s perfect. Because he’s the one who stayed when others left. The one who said “South Sudan” when the opposition said “impossible.”

‎So Yirol West, don’t lose heart. We are SPLM. We are patient. We are loyal. And when Baba calls, we are ready.

‎We don’t chase positions. We chase peace. We chase what can unite our people. And we follow the Chairman, General Cde Salva Kiir Mayardit.

Why I Stand With President Kiir: Call Me What You Want.

‎Let me be straight with you.

‎In politics, people love throwing names around. Loyalty. Sycophant. Opportunist. They think if they shout it loud enough, you’ll get scared and switch sides.

‎I won’t.

‎Here is how I see it: you must be loyal to your country first. Then to the system that keeps it together. And if the leadership trusts you, they give you a chance to serve. That’s not opportunism. That is responsibility.

‎Now, the people who don’t want this government to succeed will call you everything. Traitor, Coward and Bootlicker. I have heard it all. My phone is full of their insults. But I don’t lose sleep over it. They are not angry at me. They are angry that I won’t dance to their tune.

‎So let me say it plain: I believe in justice. I believe in truth. And I will not abandon President Salva Kiir Mayardit to follow noise anymore. The other ugly story remains closed.

‎I want to talk about games. Politics is a serious game. It is not played by people who promise trophies and bring home nothing. We have seen those types. Loud online, empty on the ground.

‎Look around you. This country is still standing because of one man’s patience. Baba Kiirdit. I meet people every day, from Rumbek to Juba. Ask them who they trust to hold South Sudan together right now. You won’t hear a second name.

‎His door is open. His heart is for the people. That is not a slogan. I have seen it.

‎So yes, if supporting my President and the SPLM makes me a “sycophant” in your eyes, write it on my chest. If working for my people makes me an “opportunist,” I will take it. I would rather be called names for doing something than be praised for doing nothing.

‎South Sudan needs builders, not complainers. I know which side I am on.

LAKES STATE WITNESSES REAL CHANGE: HON. ADUT SALVA KIIR DELIVERS ON HER WORD.

‎By: Cde. Hon. Ustaz Makuei Bec Makuei
‎Former Member of Parliament, Lakes State Transitional Legislative Assembly,
‎Proud Son of Lakes State, Loyal Member of the SPLM party,

‎Rumbek, Lakes State.

‎RUMBEK, LAKES STATE – Promises in South Sudan are easy to make. Keeping them is what separates real leaders from the rest.

‎This week, the people of Rumbek saw the difference.

‎Hon. Adut Salva Kiir Mayardit, Senior Presidential Envoy on Special Programs and First Daughter of the Republic, has turned pledges into action across Lakes State. And the results are speaking for themselves.

‎HEALTHCARE: GIVING LIFE BACK TO KIIR MAYARDIT WOMEN AND CHILDREN HOSPITAL.

‎For months, our mothers feared KIIR MAYARDIT Women and Children Hospital. Lights went off. Fuel ran out. The mortuary was silent. Doctors worked hungry.

‎Today, that story has changed.

‎Electricity is back and reliable. Generators have continuous fuel. Our doctors and nurses now receive food as they save lives. The mortuary runs on solar power again, restoring dignity to families in grief. Donated oxygen is already helping emergencies.

‎What does this mean for Rumbek? It means a pregnant mother in labor tonight has a better chance of seeing her baby tomorrow. It means a sick child won’t be turned away because the machines are dead. This is how you fight maternal and child death — not with speeches, but with power, fuel, and oxygen.

‎EDUCATION: BUILDING CLASSROOMS, NOT JUST DREAMS.

‎At Ager Gum Primary School, Hon. Adut didn’t just visit. She broke ground.

‎Four new classroom blocks are now rising from the soil. For the first time, our sons and daughters will learn in separate computer labs — boys and girls — all powered by solar energy. An office and computer storage facility will make sure these gains last.

‎She didn’t forget our youth outside class. Basketballs, volleyballs, and footballs have reached both boys and girls. Because talent needs a chance to grow.

‎This is what investment looks like. Not promises for 2030. Bricks and computers in 2026.

‎HUMANITY: SEEING THE ONE PERSON OTHERS IGNORE.

‎Leadership is also about the one mother in a wheelchair, struggling to care for her child. Many leaders would walk past. Hon. Adut stopped.

‎Since that day in Rumbek, that mother has received visit after visit. A new wheelchair. Food for her family. And land to build a permanent home.

‎That is the measure of a leader. You help the crowd, yes. But you never forget the one.

‎A MESSAGE TO LAKES STATE AND SOUTH SUDAN.

‎To the people of Lakes State: your voices were heard. To all South Sudanese watching from Juba to Upper Nile, from Equatoria to Unity: this is service delivery.

‎We have politicians who campaign with breakfast and internet bundles. Hon. Adut campaigns with hospital lights, classroom blocks, and land titles.

‎The difference is clear.

‎We thank H.E. President Salva Kiir Mayardit for entrusting this mission to a daughter of the soil who understands that power means responsibility. And we thank Hon. Adut Salva Kiir Mayardit for proving that the First Daughter is also the first to serve.

‎This is not about politics. This is about our children breathing. Our girls learning. Our disabled mothers standing tall.

‎Lakes State has not been forgotten. South Sudan is watching. And the work has only begun.

Hating H.E. Adut Salva Kiir Mayardit, the Presidential Envoy on Special Programs and First Daughter of the Republic of South Sudan Won’t Fix South Sudan.

‎By: Cde. Hon. Ustaz Makuei Bec Makuei
‎Former Member of Parliament, Lakes State Transitional Legislative Assembly,
‎Proud Member of the SPLM party,
‎Rumbek, Lakes State.

‎My countrymen and women, let me speak from my heart.
‎In our country today, some people spend all their energy attacking H.E. Adut Salva Kiir Mayardit. But let’s ask ourselves: will hating her put food on our tables? Will it build a school in your village? No.

‎Politics should be about serving people. It is not about making one person happy. Yet the people shouting loudest against her are the same ones looking for a bigger share from her. They close their eyes to what she is actually doing on the ground.

‎I will talk about what I know. Through the ASK Foundation, Adut has gone to places our government forgot years ago. My own people in Geng-Geng Payam, Yirol West County, Lakes State can tell you. We have seen the water yard being drilled. We have seen the school support. We have seen the mothers helped. That is not a rumor. That is fact.

‎And let’s be real. We know the other type of politicians. They are everywhere. They will buy you breakfast today, send you bundles tomorrow, and ask you to sing their names online. But ask them what they built in your payam in ten years. Silence.

‎Adut is different. She doesn’t beg for praise. She works. That is why they fear her. That is why they lie about her.

‎I am not here to make Adut a saint. I am here to say what I see. She is far better than the ones trying to drag her name in the mud. She deserves our respect because she shows up for ordinary South Sudanese.

‎Selfish politics has finished us. We don’t need more of it. We need leaders who remember us after elections.

‎So I ask every citizen: think for yourself. Look at Adut Salva’s work with your own eyes. Don’t let bitter people decide for you. Hating her won’t solve our problems. Working together will.

‎I stand with H.E. President Salva Kiir Mayardit, our SPLM party, and I stand with H.E. Adut Salva Kiir Mayardit because I believe in leaders who serve.

The Agar people are renowned for their sharp intellect and quick understanding. This quality makes them unique in what G*i Mayen Luk described as the "chronological hierarchy" within the Dinka setting.

‎Even when an Agar person is misled unknowingly, they subject the matter to rigorous analysis and speak out boldly without fear. In today’s politics, I have come to recognize that the Agar are trustworthy political friends who must be kept close to the core principles of political engagement.

‎May God bless this great community of South Sudan. I reaffirm my political commitment to you as a loyal friend and ally.

There is no perfect politics anywhere in the world, what matters most is guided and responsible politics. Even in the United States, assassination attempts have been made against President Donald Trump. This reminds us that political stability, wisdom and national unity must always be protected. In fact, President Salva Kiir Mayardit is one of the best Presidents in Africa and the world at large.
