H.E. Amb. Bol Wek Agoth, the Governor of Warrap State is welcomed back to the State Headquarters, Kuajok and was received at the airport by State government officials and the general public.
Upon arrival, Governor Agoth met H.E. Hussein Abdhelbagi Akol Ayii, Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan and Chair of the Service delivery Cluster, who arrived to Kuajok, a day prior to the Governor's arrival.
Subsequently, a high level national delegation including, the National Minister of Roads and Bridges and representatives from sisterly States including Northern Barh el Ghazal and Jonglei States, were received by H.E. the Governor, in Kuajok.
During briefings to the State Government officials and the visiting delegation, H.E. Amb. Bol Wek presented an overview of Warrap State and in response, a resolute commitment was submitted by the Vice President, who affirmed that he is on a mission to promote peace and assess progresses on roads infrastructure.
In his remarks, H.E. Hussein Abdhelbagi Akol Ayii, appreciated Governor Agoth for his efforts which have contributed to reduced violence in Warrap State, especially in greater Tonj.
Moreso, the Vice President pledged to support H.E. the Governor in Coordinating peace efforts in Greater Tonj, until all the guns are silenced, for services to trickle down to the vulnerable populations.
The two leaders assured the gathering that adequate preparations are in place, for the 2026 national elections to be conducted, while emphasizing collective responsibilities at both levels of government; for achievement of sustainable peace in the region and the delivery of services to the common citizen in Warrap State.
