First of all I will like to hail Silver X for the wake up call for trying to create our own musical sound... Don't you guys think it's still early?
Well honestly speaking I went through the beledi jemil album over and over buh my ears failed to notice the similarity of all the songs, some sound local yeah buh not to the satisfaction and some sound more of a borrowed cultural instrumentals from the neighbouring countries...
The media houses and some public figures who are concerned with the musical industry of South Sudan please don't push the right idea which wasn't seconded by the musical geniuses and the public at large in the name of you guys trying to show support...
We need a sound that every creative work put in by an artist will blow ... Be it Hip-hop, dancehall, Zouk, RnB and so forth...
I will argue the producers from today onwards try mix different sounds from different cultures of South Sudan each time your producing and maybe u try and add some creativity in it like prolonging the drums, or a mixture of different guitar strings buh of only our locally sounds until u get approval from the music consumers and the legends that it is the preferred sound ... Until then keep on trying and for the case of its name being that is a discussion of some other time...for now let's focus on first creating that unique sound...
