*Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2026 in advance to our entire Water family across South Sudan, the region, and the world.*
As we celebrate this joyful season, we reflect on the blessings of water and life.
The Republic of South Sudan (RSS) is geographically situated at the heart of the White Nile, with nearly 97% of our country lying within the Nile Basin.
The Sudd is the one of the world’s largest and most ecologically significant wetlands, stands as a treasure of global importance.
Our country’s central position makes South Sudan a natural bridge between upstream and downstream Nile members states.
This Christmas season inspires hope as we look toward 2026, a year filled with opportunities for sustainable water resources development.
We remain committed to implementing the *Juba Urban Water Supply and Household Connection system Project,* expanding access to clean and safe drinking water for our urban centers, and ensuring reliable water services for rural communities throughout the nation.
May this Christmas bring peace, unity, and renewed commitment to protecting and developing our shared water resources for the benefit of all.
