Established in 2009, ANFAC, a youth club based on the โSelf-help Schemeโ approach, has been launched by a youth who adopt the revolution of reading and writing. With the purpose of inspiring the youth to pursue the knowledge and the modernization in order that they might deviate from the tribal-oriented mechanisms, the club engages on promoting civic education and democracy through mainstreaming o
f gender equity, providing that the principles and policies must be in conformity with the constitution of Somaliland State. Hence, we express our gratitude and thanks to the young intellectuals who could be attributed for the inauguration and the initiation of this crucial task. Exhibition of ten (10) text books, written in Somali, beneficial to the Somali literate youth;
2. Competition of Somali literature in terms of promoting peace and reducing the conflicts that the first won- four (4) persons gained prizes of money and honor certificates. This has been held for encouraging the youth to protect peace stability, Somali indigenous knowledge and cultural norms and traditions;
3. Training of Ceerigaabo Youth Associations on their traditional games;
4. Conduct of two daysโ training for teachers who teach Somali Language with the award of Certificates to the participants. The Regional Governor of Sanaag was invited for the closure of the training.
5. Training on the effective skills of writing procedures for the Youth who are interested in reading and writing skills of the short stories.
6. Campaigns for writing and reading skills were implemented in ten (10) main schools in Ceerigaabo, Maydh, and Yufle.
7. Participation in an anniversary day for commemoration of the Somali Scripts.
8. With the proposal of ANFAC Ceerigaabo, an umbrella of such similar clubs was set up in Burco, the focus point of the convocation.
9. Convocation for competition among football teams from the six districts of Sanaag Region

Convocation and hosting of Boorama Readers Club gust, poet such as Maxamed Ibraahin Warsame Hadraawi, Cabdiwaaxid Gamaโdiid, Yaxye Yeebaash, from Hargeysa, Faarax Biniin Boos from Bosaaso and resourced persons such as Cabdiraxmaan Yuusuf Cartan, Jaamac Muuse Jaamac invited from all areas by ANFAC in Ceerigaabo.
11. Mobilization campaign for reading and writing, citizenship and protection of public interest and infrastructure in Ceerigaabo town targeted fifteen primary and secondary schools (10,000 students). ANFAC LIBRARY BENEFICIARIES
Situated in the mid of the town and with two thousand (2000) books, the library promote the tendency for reading and writing, where thirty (30) members usually adopt such tendency. We expect this trend of library adoption should promote the capacity building of the youth towards the development and help them to make researches and initiatives conducive to the improvement of their socio-economic status in the future.
