善济成立于1901年，是卫生部注册的社会服务组织，不分种族和宗教，为社会大众提供免费的中医问诊及低收费的治疗。除了中医服务，善济还积极参与社区慈善活动，宣扬健康意识，鼓励保健活动，推广慈善精神，传播光明与正能量；同时让更多的非华族居民了解中华文化；大家彼此交流、增进友谊、互相互动、共享资源，共同提升，促进种族和谐，爱国爱民。
善济医社不仅用中医治疗身体上的疾病，更帮助社会大众寻找治愈心灵的良药，因为心灵上的孤独比身体上的疾病更可怕，而善良与关爱也是一种治疗。为了让善济的每一位看诊者都能获得身心的愉快和健康，从负能量转为正能量，让生活更加光明，更加健康。因此善济医社最近还开设了新的3个项目：善济读书分享会读书的内容是善济医社义务执行主席，卓顺发太平绅士 BBM(L), PVPA的新书《当下最真 活在当下》，善济关爱之旅和善济义剪活动。

善济医社目前在全岛有14间分社，为大众提供免费中医问诊，医药补贴。在过去8年里(2014年至2022年)善济总共服务了约3,055,292看诊人次，发出的药帖有5,974,823帖。未来五年(2023年到2027年)看诊人次估计将高达250万人次，发出的药帖估计为480万帖。
每十元善款可以惠及来自低收入家庭的1个病患人次到善济医社问诊、拿药完全免费；帮助1个家庭的1位病患者等于帮助这个家庭全部成员，让他们离苦得乐，创造幸福美满家庭，和谐安乐社会。

Awarded the PA Community Spirit Merit Award by the People’s Association in 2016
In 2017, 41,249 carnations were used to set the Guinness World Record of "the world’s biggest artificial flower bouquet". In 2017, Sian Chay built the largest artificial bouquet composed of 41,249 carnations; Sian Chay also held the biggest giving flowers to mothers event, with 116,000 artificial carnations given to celebrate Mother's Day. These two new records were set in the Singapore Book of Records. Awarded the PA Community Spirit Merit Award by the People’s Association in 2017. In 2017, won the Singapore Prestige Brand Award Special Merit Award by the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises and Lianhe Zaobao. During the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2019, Sian Chay distributed 10,000 boxes of Halal single yolk, less sugar mooncakes to low-income families and the elderly. This set a new record in the Singapore Book of Records. In 2020, Sian Chay was being awarded Community Spirit Platinum Award by the Community Chest. Awarded the PA Community Spirit Merit Award by the People’s Association in 2022. Founded in 1901, Sian Chay is a social service agency registered under the Ministry of Health. It provides free TCM consultation and low-cost treatment to the public regardless of race or religion. In addition to Chinese medicine services, Sian Chay also actively participates in community charity activities, promoting health awareness, encouraging health care activities to promote charity, and spreading brightness and positive energy. At the same time, we hope more non-Chinese residents can understand Chinese culture. We hope everyone can have stronger communication, enhance friendship bonds, interact more with each other, share resources with each other, support each other to promote racial harmony, and patriotism. Sian Chay Medical Institution not only uses Chinese medicine to treat physical illnesses, but also helps to heal emotional illnesses, because such illness is worse than physical illnesses, but kindness and care be a form of treatment. We want to let every patient of Sian Chay enjoy physical and mental happiness and health, transform their negative energy to positive energy, so that lives can be brighter and healthier. Therefore, Sian Chay Medical Institution has recently launched three new charity projects: The Sian Chay Reading Club shares Volunteer Executive Chairman of Sian Chay Medical Institution, Toh Soon Huat, JP, BBM PVPA’s "What Matters Is Now Live To Impact The Present" book; Sian Chay Care and Share Tours; and Sian Chay Charity Hair and Nail Trimming Activities. Sian Chay’s five core values are Forgiveness, Universal Love, Compassion, Gratitude and Blessing. In reality, forgiveness, compassion & universal love is an inner cultivation, a life perspective & philosophy, an attitude of gratitude and a bright disposition towards life. These can solve many problems affecting physical and mental health, social harmony, interpersonal relationship, conflicts, and ignorance. The Pioneer Generation receives complete fee waiver at all our branches. The Merdeka Generation enjoys medication at special rate of $1.50 a day as well as preferential treatment for other items. Those on welfare benefit or low-income families can also apply for fee waiver at all Sian Chay’s branches. Sian Chay Medical Institution has 14 branches islandwide, providing free TCM consultation and medical subsidies to the public. In the past 8 years (2014 to 2022), Sian Chay has served a total of about 3,055,292 patient visits and issued 5,974,823 medical prescriptions. In the next five years (2023-2027), the number of patient visits is estimated to reach 2.5 million, and the number of medical prescriptions issued is estimated to be 4.8 million. Every $10 donation can benefit 1 patient from a low-income family to receive free consultation and medicine from Sian Chay Medical Institution. By helping 1 patient in this family, we are also helping all the family members to be relieved from misery and build a happy family and a harmonious and peaceful society.
