I've been asked this by colleagues in the UK who is thinking of visiting Singapore this summer.
They are keen on eating at our hawkers centres but are worried about their daughter who has severe anaphylactic allergies to peanuts, cashew and pistachio. She is also allergic to white fish like Tilapia and Cod She carries an Epi-pen with her. She can't have food which has trace ingredients of nuts or if the ingredient is produced in a factory/facility that handles nuts.
Have any of you with children with severe anaphylactic allergies ever eaten at a hawker centre?
The particular dishes they really want to try are:
Hainanese Chicken Rice
Chwee Kueh
Chai Tow Kway
Chee Cheong Fan
Any advice or suggestions will be gratefully received.
