Thank you to everyone who stopped by the TAFEP booth at HR Tech Asia over the last 2 days to speak with us about your Workplace Fairness Act (WFA) readiness journey. The conversations we had with visitors at the TAFEP booth revealed a common theme: Organisations know that the WFA will take into effect in 2027, but many are still figuring out what “readiness” looks like.

To sum it up, WFA readiness isn’t just about compliance. It’s about being intentional:

✔ Know the protected characteristics covered by the WFA
✔ Review how you hire, and do it fairly
✔ Build trust through a clear grievance handling process

Fantastic start to Day 1 at HR Tech Asia 2026!

We were honoured to host Mr Shawn Huang, Senior Parliamentary Secretary (Finance & Manpower), Ministry of Manpower at our booth this morning, as we shared the variety of TAFEP's initiatives and resources that would help organisations get ready for the Workplace Fairness Act (WFA).

Visitors to our booth not only learnt more about the WFA, they also discovered how they could assess their current level of readiness, and where they could go to obtain resources such as handbooks, templates and tools to help them level up their compliance to WFA obligations.

Our Principal Manager, Mr James Pang, presented a Power Talk on "Navigating Workplace Fairness" to share with employers on the protections against discrimination under the WFA and the key components of grievance handling processes to help resolve disputes amicably.

There are lots to takeaway from attending HR Tech Asia, so if you're planning to come down tomorrow, do come by to see us at Booth H01, Suntec Convention Centre, Halls 403-405. See you then!
