[🏡 House Visit at Blk 116A Plantation Crescent - Plantation Grove]

Recently, we visited residents at Blk 116A Plantation Crescent and had many good conversations along the way.

We met parents who proudly shared about their children's achievements and the milestones they are looking forward to. We also stepped into a home filled with nieces, nephews and relatives gathered together — there was so much laughter and energy that afternoon.

Several residents shared that they would like to contribute to the community through volunteering and local activities. We also met seniors who are exploring job opportunities so that they can remain active and engaged.

Thank you to all the residents who welcomed us into their homes and took the time to chat with us. A big thank you as well to our volunteers, PA colleagues and agency partners for joining us on the visit. ❤️

[Meet-the-People Session at Tengah]

Tonight’s Meet-the-People Session was a reminder of the different challenges our residents are carrying.
Many shared deeply personal circumstances and difficult situations. It takes courage to have these conversations, and we are grateful for the trust they place in us. While there are rarely simple solutions, every conversation is a chance to understand their situation and see how we can help.

Thank you to our volunteers who are here every week, listening and supporting residents through these moments. 🫶❤️

[☕ Made in Tengah: The Weekend Coffee]

One of the joys of visiting residents is discovering the passions and talents that are quietly brewing within our community. Recently, I had the opportunity to meet Jovan and Wendy, the residents behind The Weekend Coffee ( https://www.instagram.com/the.weekendcoffee ), a home-based coffee venture right here in Tengah.

Operating from their home, the couple brings together their love for coffee and hospitality, creating a cosy experience for fellow coffee enthusiasts in the neighbourhood. What started as a passion project has grown into a way for them to connect with others and share something they genuinely enjoy.

If you’re a coffee lover, do check out The Weekend Coffee and support a fellow Tengah resident. ☕✨

Wishing Jovan and Wendy every success on their coffee journey! ❤️

[⚡️Tengah Team, One Year On]

A year ago, there were just seven of us.

We started a new branch and got to work — house visits, events, follow-ups, and whatever needed to be done on the ground.

Over time, we’ve grown from a small group of volunteers into a team that now works together regularly on the ground.

Tengah is still a new town being built. There is a lot to do, and resources at the start were limited. But instead of being fazed by the workload, people stepped in when needed — sometimes at short notice, sometimes late at night — and helped get things done.

A lot of this happens quietly in the background.

Thank you to all of you for being part of the Tengah team. I truly appreciate all of you.❤️

We started small, we’ve grown, and we’ll continue to grow.

P.S. A few friends from Brickland–Tengah branch are also in this photo. They came by to help support Parc residents.

[⚡️PAP Tengah’s First Parents’ Day Celebration 2026]

Thank you to all the residents who joined us for PAP Tengah’s first Parents’ Day Celebration this weekend.

We were glad to see so many residents, families and seniors spending the morning together, catching up with neighbours and enjoying the activities.

Parents’ Day is a chance to recognise the parents and caregivers around us whose love, guidance and support have shaped our lives in countless ways.

A special thank you as well to the volunteer hairdressers, volunteers and organising team who gave their time to make the event possible.

Thank you for making it such a memorable first edition. ❤️

[🌿 Plantation Grove: Update on the New Park in Front of Blks 118A–120B (Tengah Linear Woods)]

Following our earlier update on Tengah Linear Woods (https://www.instagram.com/p/DZEFO8Qks1l/?img_index=4), we visited the site with NParks to review the latest plans. Volunteers from the Plantation Grove Residents' Network (RN) also joined the site walk to share their ground knowledge and feedback.

A key focus was ensuring that the park reflects how residents actually move through the neighbourhood. Based on feedback and observations from the site visit, two additional entrances will be introduced, while two entrances will be repositioned closer to nearby lift lobbies and void decks to improve convenience and accessibility.

We also reviewed connections between the park, nearby homes and public transport. The park exit near the bus stop has been positioned as close as possible to improve connectivity for residents and better match everyday walking patterns.

Benches will also be placed, creating spaces for residents to rest, connect with neighbours and enjoy the greenery.

Thank you to our Plantation Grove RN volunteers for joining us on the site visit, and to NParks for the constructive discussions as we continue shaping a park that better serves our growing community. ❤️

🇸🇬🇹🇿

Not everything memorable happens on the official programme.

In Stone Town, we saw a group of boys jumping off the pier into the sea.

One after another.
Some really high.
With complete confidence.

Before long, everyone had stopped to watch.

Small moments, but they captured the energy and spirit of Zanzibar better than any itinerary could.

They are the Zanzibar Pier Jumping Boys.
