Feed The Poor Campaign � This a private initiative by a group of Volunteers to reach out to the poor in the communities. WE HAVE OFFICIALLY MOVED TO www.fb.com/FTPCsgp Insya Allah.

The Prophet Muhammad (s) said:

A friend commented that its rare for me to share a post like yesterday
I honestly must say im a bit uncomfortable
I wish I had the solution n grocery can be purchase with money plants (i hv a few too many)
Sharing the post yesterday was an eye opener - I know that when we ask we will tend to get if its for the benefit of all with His will
Yesterday was one of a kind of day
Alhamdulilah we see an increase in pledges
More is needed in sha Allah

I am really really bad at saying NO
Every NO fm me eats me fm the inside out
My phone hv been buzzing with messages n calls with request
I couldnt answer all of it due to other commitment n some decided to be holier than thou n start leaving snide remarks on my whatsapp n dm

Today we launch our Special Ad Hoc Campaign like how we use to do it every year
Our objective is still the same to assist families in need with food source to welcome Ramadhan
They should welcome the upcoming ramadhan n eid with gratitude n love n food should be the least of their worries
As always our are not extravagant
It covers some basic essentials as its in line with our principle that we should always keep it simple honest food
For a bag of $25.00 per household (max 4pax else its 2bags per family) our carries the following :
• 2 x Frozen Chicken
• Cooking Oil
• Sugar
• Bee Hoon
• Spices
• Tea Bags
• Plus +++
We try to make giving as affordable as we can. We understand that with the increase in pricing for the basic items its sometimes hard to put food on e table when you have more than 1 mouth to feed
For those who remind us that everyone got $500 CDC Vouchers - we do not deny that
But as a point of reflection - what is the basic food cost for a family of 4 for a month?

Life is not bout 1+1=2 ... sometimes its 1 + 1 = smiles, sometimes 1+1 = hugs n kisses, sometimes 1+1 = secret duas..... life is more than just that ~
When someone explain to me the bountiful pahala one gets fm contributing in the month of Ramadhan - I will only smile
I do not know much about quantifying pahala in special months - what I do know is do good no matter which day or month and no matter how small it will be accepted and it will hv its own merits n rewards
Consistency is important
If you feed a stray cat daily a small amount of biscuits it will definitely grow the same like a small deed done consistently
We so ol'skool we still hold on to 'tangan kanan memberi tangan kiri tak perlu tahu '
But with social media n all its impossible to stay low key all the time

When we 1st started 12 years ago it was only a handful who do what we did n over the years we hv seen n supported some friends to create do better than what we ourselves can offer..

12 years ago cooking in a small space in the office using induction cooker - never cross our mind we will stretch till past 12 years of giving, helping, distributing n sharing
3yrs fm the begining of Covid n we dumped all the monies we get fm the covid entrepreneur package to rent, cook and deliver halal bento fm a small shop at The Promenade...
It seem like such a long time ago
Perhaps it is...and its time now to make way for something new...
Once a decision is made we accept it and we embrace it

We were not expecting support for our upcoming ramadhan campaign coz we know we are not consistent in our 😜😜😜
To garner support one need to always be
Nothing is wrong with that but we can only do so much so we do what we do best!
We support others, we continue being kind and we remain grateful
When you are grateful you will get more always!
We believe that and we live by it!

So we gonna continue rolling out our campaign n hope for the best!
Like what we always say - helping 1family is as good as helping hundreds in sha Allah!
And as our usual tradition, we are raising funds to purchase dates for our recepients this upcoming ramadhan
As usual before ramadhan we will curate and packed groceries that might be helpful for challenged families...
Easing them of worries to provide basic iftar for the families in sha Allah (more on that soon!)
For now we are seeking support to raise funds to purchase 300boxes of dates (25carton).
Each carton like previous years is pegged at $50 each

On days we wake up to sunshine we must be prepared to wake up to rain too

These past weeks we read about natural disaster n earthquakes
How in 45secs a normal day going about our daily chores can be turn upside down
Life is unpredictable so we must always be prepared.
We are now in the midst of preparing the receiver list for grocery bags, along with preparing list after list of what to give, what is needed, how to purchase etc.
Once upon a time with a strong 14man admin volunteers it was a breeze...
Now we do what we can with what we have from where we are...
In sha Allah all will be well for 19th March distribution for families in need to prepare for the upcoming Ramadhan
And as our usual tradition, we are raising funds to purchase dates for our recepients this upcoming ramadhan
As usual before ramadhan we will curate and packed groceries that might be helpful for challenged families...
Easing them of worries to provide basic iftar for the families in sha Allah (more on that soon!)
For now we are seeking support to raise funds to purchase 300boxes of dates (25carton).

Our day start as early as 3.30 to 4am but it wasn't productive 😵‍💫
It took an average of 1hr to create eposters (yes!! Even when it was made using Canva 😜😜😜) another 1hour to feel inspired to write what we do n why we do it and who it is for.....without offending anyone and that does not hv an underlying tone that is offensive...
And after all that it takes about 2mins to post all those crafted communication n we failed at the last 2mins to press !!!
Why oh why?
No answer to that 🫣🫣🫣
But we dun shy away fm packing a that takes about 45mins to pack 20bags and delivery within 24hrs to recipient in need...
Alhamdulilah coz our priorities while in shambles - our 1st intention to be of benefit to those in need is still intact!
We dun post as often as we like but we do so as much as we can...
To do what we do we needed the support as while we can do the packing n delivering someone has to help pay for the groceries, pampers n supplements
We try as much as we can and we use our resources first but then again a lil bit of help here and there do go a long way to complete a campaign
And as our usual tradition, we are raising funds to purchase dates for our recepients this upcoming ramadhan
We intend to distribute these on Sunday 19th March along with our bags
As usual before ramadhan we will curate and packed groceries that might be helpful for challenged families...
Easing them of worries to provide basic iftar for the families in sha Allah (more on that soon!)
