So today would have been my 21st birthday. I died a little less than 6 years ago. . . I thought I was going to try acid/lsd for the very first time. What I got from a friend wasn't acid at all. . . It was 25I NBOME. . . It sent me into convulsions and almost killed my friend and 2 brothers as well. 25I is a synthetic research chemical that is passed off to many unsuspecting kids as L*D, bath salts, Molly/ectasy. Delivery methods can be droplets, blotter paper, tablets, powders or candy. Think of it as a psychedelic hallucigen combined with methamphetamine. I died 3 minutes before the first responders arrived. So I won't be getting my driver's license this year or going to prom. I won't be earning a letterman jacket for football, wrestling, swim or track. All I can tell you is that it just takes one time. . . My family and friends miss me dearly. I was smart, obviously good looking, popular and thought I could get away with just about anything. . . My parents warned me all the time about the dangers of drugs. . . I just thought it couldn't happen to me. I hope you make a better choice than me and just stay away from anything you might be trying to get high off of, because it just isn't worth it! See less

In 2014 I was paralyzed from the waist down in a snowboarding accident (true story).

I had a fluid sack around my spine, so they couldn't tell if it was permanent paralysis or temporary spinal shock without performing an invasive surgery. I also had a 5th degree concussion and a damaged airway from my helmet strap. (THE HELMET SAVED MY LIFE - ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET)

After 2 days of having zero feeling in my lower body, I started to wiggle my toes again. After a few more days, slowly and with help, I was walking. Thank GOD, it turned out to be a bad case of spinal shock, and for that I am so grateful.

This picture is from last year, when I finally decided to get back on a snowboard for the first time since my accident. I did fall - a few times, actually. But I kept getting back up.

Never let the things that scare you keep you from the things you love 🙏❤️

Six-year-old Bridger from Cheyenne, Wyoming, saved his sister from an attacking dog on July 9. After getting bit several times, he grabbed her hand and ran for safety. He later said, “If someone had to die, I thought it should be me.” He’s now in recovery after receiving about 90 stitches. A true hero who deserves our praise! ❤️
