تُعرب جمعية باكر ضواي الخيرية عن بالغ قلقها ورفضها التام للقرار الإسرائيلي القاضي بفرض عقوبة الإعدام على الأسرى الفلسطينيين، وتعتبره انتهاكًا خطيرًا لمبادئ القانون الدولي الإنساني ومواثيق حقوق الإنسان، وعلى رأسها الحق في الحياة، وضمانات المحاكمة العادلة، وحظر العقوبات القاسية واللاإنسانية.
إن هذا القرار يمثل تصعيدًا بالغ الخطورة من شأنه تعريض حياة الأسرى الفلسطينيين لخطر مباشر، كما يرسّخ سياسات التمييز والعقاب الجماعي، ويقوّض الجهود الدولية الرامية إلى حماية المدنيين وصون الكرامة الإنسانية في أوقات النزاع. وتؤكد الجمعية أن احترام حقوق الأسرى والمحتجزين هو التزام قانوني وأخلاقي لا يجوز التراجع عنه تحت أي ظرف.
وتشدد الجمعية على أن إقرار عقوبة الإعدام بحق الأسرى الفلسطينيين لن يسهم في تحقيق العدالة أو الأمن، بل سيؤدي إلى مزيد من الاحتقان والتصعيد، ويغلق أبواب الحلول السلمية القائمة على مبادئ العدالة والإنصاف واحترام الكرامة الإنسانية.
وانطلاقًا من رسالتها الإنسانية، تدعو جمعية باكر ضواي الخيرية الأمم المتحدة، واللجنة الدولية للصليب الأحمر International Committee of the Red Cross، والمنظمات الحقوقية والإنسانية الدولية، إلى اتخاذ موقف واضح وعاجل لوقف هذا القرار، والعمل على حماية الأسرى الفلسطينيين، وضمان التزام جميع الأطراف بالقانون الدولي الإنساني.
كما تجدد الجمعية تضامنها الإنساني مع الأسرى الفلسطينيين وذويهم، وتؤكد أن الكرامة الإنسانية والحق في الحياة قيمتان عالميتان لا يجوز أن تخضعا للاعتبارات السياسية أو التشريعات الجائرة.

Baker Daway Charity Association expresses its profound concern and complete rejection of the recent Israeli decision to impose the death penalty on Palestinian prisoners, considering it a serious violation of international humanitarian law and fundamental human rights principles, foremost among them the right to life, the guarantees of a fair trial, and the prohibition of cruel and inhumane punishment.
This decision represents a dangerous escalation that directly threatens the lives of Palestinian prisoners, while further entrenching policies of discrimination and collective punishment. It also undermines international efforts aimed at protecting civilians and preserving human dignity in times of conflict. The Association reaffirms that respect for the rights of prisoners and detainees is both a legal and moral obligation that must not be compromised under any circumstances.
The Association further stresses that the adoption of the death penalty against Palestinian prisoners will neither advance justice nor enhance security; rather, it will deepen tensions, fuel further escalation, and close the door to peaceful solutions based on justice, fairness, and respect for human dignity.
In line with its humanitarian mission, Baker Daway Charity Association calls upon the United Nations United Nations, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and international human rights and humanitarian organizations to take an urgent and clear stand against this decision, and to work toward protecting Palestinian prisoners and ensuring compliance with international humanitarian law by all parties.
The Association also renews its humanitarian solidarity with Palestinian prisoners and their families, affirming that human dignity and the right to life are universal values that must never be subjected to political considerations or unjust legislation.
