Latjor is a resilient South Sudanese youth leader, refugee advocate, and award-winning change-maker advancing sustainable development by bridging grassroots movements with institutions through education, policy engagement, and social equity.
He is a detail-oriented young professional with more than four years of experience across nonprofit organizations, education initiatives, humanitarian work, and community-driven programs. His work focuses on addressing education inequality, strengthening workforce readiness, advancing youth empowerment, and supporting locally led solutions. Latjor also serves as a peer career coach and mentor, guiding young people in developing career pathways and leadership skills while nurturing their ambitions for public service and social impact.
Latjor is the Founder and CEO of the ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ง ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก ๐๐๐๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ ๐๐๐ก๐จ๐ฅ๐๐ซ๐ฌ ๐๐๐ญ๐ฐ๐จ๐ซ๐ค ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฆ (๐๐๐๐๐๐๐), a youth-led nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to quality education, global opportunities, and human capacity development for underserved young people that promotes intergenerational leadership, career development pathways, and skills building that equip youth to lead within their communities.
Latjor's leadership journey includes active participation in international summits, conferences, fellowships, and leadership programs across Africa, Asia, and Europe. He is a Mountaintop International Fellow, an alumnus of the Young African Leaders Initiative Regional Leadership Center East Africa, a Swiss Africa Exchange alumni in Switzerland, ALforEducation Apprentice, MCNโUNAI alumni, YouthConnekt Africa, Aspire Leaders, and among others.
He was recognized by Suas Educational Development (STAND) in Ireland, in partnership with African Leadership University, as a changemaker advancing UN-SDG 4 by empowering marginalized youth with access to quality education and promoting social equity and education reforms.
Having spent part of his life in displacement following the conflict in South Sudan, these experiences shaped his lifelong commitment to building systems of opportunity that place people at the center and empower young people to become architects of their own future.
