What happened 22 years ago is never easy to comprehend but today Rwandans and other people of goodwill remember and honour lives lost. Rwandans are rebuilding their lives and their dignity, we are all very committed to making sure that genocide never happens again. Those who contributed directly to genocide in Rwanda and refuse to take responsibility remain on the wrong side of history and justice. There’s a lot to show from journey we have travelled in 22 years. It’s a result of what Rwandans and friends have invested in this country. We thank President for visiting to express solidarity with Rwandans and strengthen fraternal ties between Tanzania & Rwanda.”
