NORTH KOREA REPORTEDLY DEPLOYS MISSILE UNIT TO RUSSIA — DIRECT THREAT TO UKRAINE
Ukraine’s military intelligence reportedly says North Korea is deploying a missile unit to Russia’s Voronezh region, marking a potential escalation in Pyongyang’s involvement in the war against Ukraine.
The unit is said to include about 90 North Korean personnel and could operate ballistic missiles such as the KN-23 and KN-24, which could potentially be used against targets in Ukraine.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, the unit could eventually operate up to 120 missiles and six launchers.
North Korea has already supplied Russia with ballistic missiles and thousands of military personnel, with North Korean missiles reportedly used in attacks against Ukraine.
If confirmed, the deployment would represent a major expansion of Pyongyang’s direct military support for Moscow, potentially allowing North Korean missile systems to be operated from Russian territory.
