NAZA10: O CANHÃO NA MIRA DO JORGE LEAL

No próximo dia 3 de março às 18h00, inaugura no Espaço Corpus Christi em Vila Nova de Gaia, a exposição fotográfica imersiva que retrata uma década de história do surf mundial bem no epicentro de um dos maiores spots internacionais de ondas gigantes - Nazaré. Esta mostra de fotografias icónicas com filmes e projeções vídeo é da autoria de Jorge Leal, fotógrafo e realizador que acompanhou desde o primeiro dia o projeto Nazaré North Canyon, sinalizando Portugal no mapa do surf mundial de ondas gigantes. “Naza 10” estará patente até 30 de abril.
“Naza 10” é o título da exposição há muito aguardada e que teve a sua primeira edição na vila piscatória que viu nascer um dos mais memoráveis episódios da história do surf mundial – a maior onda surfada por Garrett McNamara, em novembro de 2011. O espólio agora exposto é da autoria de Jorge Leal que, desde o primeiro dia, esteve envolvido na restrita equipa que, juntamente com McNamara, perseguiram o sonho de confirmar a Nazaré como um dos maiores spots de ondas gigantes do mundo.
Nesta exposição é possível apreciar mais de 32 fotografias, reveladoras de alguns dos momentos históricos da Nazaré, desde as suas ondas gigantes, aos momentos épicos de tempestade no North Canyon até aos surfistas que desafiaram as leis da gravidade e conseguiram surfar as maiores ondas das suas vidas, como Garrett McNamara, Hugo Vau, Maya Gabeira, Andrew Cotton, Sebastian Steudtner, entre outros.
A exposição Naza 10 tem como embaixadores atletas do surf mundial como Garrett McNamara, Andrew Cotton, Hugo Vau, Sebastian Steudtner, Maya Gabeira, Carlos Burle, Ross Clarke Jones ou Jason Polakow.
A exposição vai estará disponível para visita até dia 30 de Abril
3ª a domingo das 10h00 às 18h00 - encerra à hora de almoço 13h00-14h00
A Iniciativa preconiza um donativo por visita, para o Leal através do Gofundme Oficial da Campanha .
Os donativos são por si só uma dádiva gerida com bom senso por cada um dos visitantes e não terá qualquer controlo por parte da organização.

NAZA10: THE CANNON IN JORGE LEAL'S SIGHTS

On the 3rd of March at 6pm, an immersive photographic exhibition will open at Espaço Corpus Christi in Vila Nova de Gaia, portraying a decade of world surfing history right at the epicentre of one of the biggest international giant wave spots - Nazaré. This show of iconic photographs with films and video projections is authored by Jorge Leal, photographer and director who followed the Nazaré North Canyon project from day one, signalling Portugal on the world giant wave surfing map. "Naza 10" will be on show until April 30.
"Naza 10" is the title of the long-awaited exhibition that had its first edition in the fishing village that saw the birth of one of the most memorable episodes in the history of world surfing - the biggest wave surfed by Garrett McNamara, in November 2011. The collection now on display is the work of Jorge Leal that was involved from day one in the small team that pursued the dream of confirming Nazaré as one of the biggest giant wave spots in the world along with McNamara.
In this exhibition it is possible to appreciate more than 32 photographs, revealing some of the historical moments of Nazaré, from its giant waves, to the epic storm moments in the North Canyon, to the surfers who defied the laws of gravity and managed to surf the biggest waves of their lives, such as Garrett McNamara, Hugo Vau, Maya Gabeira, Andrew Cotton, Sebastian Steudtner, among others.
The Naza 10 exhibition has as ambassadors world surfing athletes such as Garrett McNamara Andrew Cotton Hugo Vau Sebastian Steudtner, Maya Gabeira, Carlos Burle, Ross Clarke-Jones or Jason Polakow.
The exhibition will be on until April 30
Tuesday to Sunday from 10h00 to 18h00 - closed at lunchtime 13h00-14h00
The Initiative advocates one donation per visit, to Leal through the Official Gofundme of the Campaign.
The donations are in themselves a gift managed with common sense by each of the visitors and will not have any control by the organization.
