Displacement itself can be a harrowing experience, with families forced to travel long distances on foot, sometimes through dangerous. The combination of displacement, the sounds of bombing, and extreme heat creates a dire situation where the need for water becomes urgent and life-threatening.
The physical and emotional toll of the displacement, coupled with the scarcity of water, exacerbates the suffering of the affected population. Dehydration and waterborne diseases become real threats, especially in situations where people are compelled to use unsafe water sources.

Anaam, 90 year old, displaced from her village in the Nakba of 1948 due to the massacres committed by Zionist gangs against civilians in neighboring villages. She kept her return key in the hope of returning to her home in that village. Today, Anaam immigrated again for the same reason and covered a distance of more than 5 kilometers. She walked on foot under the sounds of bombing and among tanks with her family to the southern Gaza Strip after the Israeli occupation had destroyed their homes in the northern Gaza Strip.
