🙏 La preparación espiritual también fortalece la preparación para la misión. Desde el Fuerte Buchanan, el Ejército continúa fortaleciendo el bienestar integral de los hombres y mujeres que sirven en Puerto Rico y el Caribe.

Durante la ceremonia de Cambio de Estola, el Capellán Mayor Joseph Okpe transfirió la responsabilidad del liderazgo espiritual al Capellán Mayor Farlin Reynoso, reafirmando el compromiso de apoyar a soldados, familias y equipos civiles que respaldan las misiones militares en toda la región.

La ceremonia simboliza la continuidad del cuidado espiritual y pastoral que acompaña a quienes sirven a nuestra nación.

Today, while celebrating her high school graduation, Puerto Rican student Alondra Sofía Zorrilla Benítez is preparing to represent Puerto Rico and the U.S. military community in the Caribbean during the 2026 Military Youth of the Year regional competition in New York City. 🇵🇷🗽

Alondra, a participant in Fort Buchanan’s Child and Youth Services program and daughter of a U.S. Army Soldier, maintains a 3.9 GPA and has excelled in sports, leadership and community service.

La presencia del Fuerte Buchanan en Puerto Rico también se refleja a través de colaboraciones que fortalecen la preparación y la resiliencia colectiva.

Recientemente, Héctor Herrera, oficial antiterrorismo del Fuerte Buchanan, facilitó un adiestramiento de respuesta a tirador activo para empleados del United States Postal Service (USPS) durante una actividad fuera de la instalación.

Este tipo de intercambio profesional demuestra cómo el conocimiento y la experiencia disponibles en la sede del ejército de Estados Unidos en Puerto Rico y el Caribe continúan aportando valor a distintas organizaciones y fortaleciendo relaciones estratégicas en Puerto Rico.

Recently, Héctor Herrera, Fort Buchanan’s Antiterrorism Officer, facilitated an active shooter response training for United States Postal Service (USPS) employees during an off-installation event.
