Inspection Visit Note – DHQ Hospital Ziarat

The EPA team, under the supervision of Assistant Director EPA Ziarat and led by Inspector Asmat, conducted an inspection visit to DHQ Hospital Ziarat under the relevant Environmental Compliance and Hospital Waste Management regulations.

During the inspection, it was observed that the overall cleanliness, hygiene, and waste management conditions had significantly deteriorated compared to previous inspections. Several environmental and hygiene violations were observed, with waste found scattered in different areas and inadequate cleanliness inside the hospital wards.

Furthermore, the Medical Superintendent (MS) was not present in the office, and sufficient relevant staff was also unavailable to properly assist the EPA inspection team.

Despite these circumstances, the EPA team conducted the inspection thoroughly and assessed the hospital’s environmental compliance and waste management practices.

Inspection Visit Note – DHQ Hospital Ziarat

The EPA team, under the supervision of Assistant Director EPA Ziarat and led by Inspector Asmat, conducted an inspection visit to DHQ Hospital Ziarat under the relevant Environmental Compliance and Hospital Waste Management regulations.

زیارت: بلوچستان انوائرمنٹل پروٹیکشن ایجنسی (بیپا) ہیڈ آفس کی ہدایات پر EPA زیارت کی ٹیم نے ضلع کے مختلف مقامات سے بارش کے پانی کے نمونے حاصل کیے۔

اسسٹنٹ ڈائریکٹر EPA زیارت کی نگرانی میں ٹیم نے ضلع زیارت کے تین مختلف مقامات سے بارش کے پانی کے نمونے جمع کیے، جنہیں باقاعدہ سیل اور محفوظ طریقے سے پیک کرلیا گیا ہے۔ نمونے مزید جانچ اور تجزیے کے لیے جلد لیبارٹری بھجوائے جائیں گے۔

سیکرٹری ماحولیات و موسمیاتی تبدیلی نور احمد پرکانی کی زیر صدارت محکمہ ماحولیات و موسمیاتی تبدیلی کا جائزہ اجلاس منعقد ہوا، جس میں ایڈیشنل سیکرٹری محمد یونس مینگل، ڈائریکٹر جنرل ادارہ تحفظ ماحولیات ظہور بلوچ سمیت متعلقہ افسران نے شرکت کی۔

اجلاس میں مالی سال 2025-26 اور 2026-27 کے محصولات کے اہداف، اسسٹنٹ ڈائریکٹر سے ڈپٹی ڈائریکٹر کے عہدے پر ترقی کے معاملات، افسران کی حاضری و لوکیشن مانیٹرنگ اور اے آئی ایف آر اے ایم ایس کے نفاذ سمیت محکمہ کی مجموعی کارکردگی کا جائزہ لیا گیا۔

سیکرٹری ماحولیات نور احمد پرکانی نے مختلف ڈویژنوں کے ڈپٹی ڈائریکٹرز اور اسسٹنٹ ڈائریکٹرز سے براہ راست ٹیلی فون پر رابطہ کرکے ان کی جائے تعیناتی، موجودگی، لوکیشن اور متعلقہ ڈویژن و اضلاع میں جاری ماحولیاتی سرگرمیوں کے بارے میں معلومات حاصل کیں۔ انہوں نے جائے تعیناتی پر موجود نہ ہونے والے اور فرائض میں غفلت برتنے والے افسران کے خلاف کارروائی کے احکامات جاری کرتے ہوئے واضح کیا کہ حاضری کے معاملے میں زیرو ٹالرنس پالیسی اپنائی جائے گی۔
اجلاس میں کوئٹہ کے مختلف ماحولیاتی یونٹس کا ڈیٹا مرتب کرنے کے حوالے سے بھی تفصیلی جائزہ لیا گیا۔

سیکرٹری ماحولیات نے فلور ملز، صنعتی زون، ہاؤسنگ اسکیموں، ڈیری فارمز، کرش پلانٹس، کمرشل مراکز، پلاسٹک و پولی تھین بیگز استعمال کرنے والے مراکز، اسکریپ گوداموں اور پولٹری فارمز سمیت دیگر مقامات کا مکمل ڈیٹا ایک ہفتے کے اندر مرتب کرنے اور اس مقصد کے لیے خصوصی ٹیمیں تشکیل دینے کی ہدایت کی۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ ماحولیاتی آلودگی کا باعث بننے والے عناصر کی نشاندہی کرکے ان کے خلاف قانون کے مطابق سخت کارروائی کی جائے گی۔

ماحولیات سے متعلق مکمل اور مستند ڈیٹا کی دستیابی سے آلودگی پھیلانے والے صنعتی و تجارتی یونٹس کے خلاف مؤثر اقدامات میں مدد ملے گی۔
نور احمد پرکانی نے افسران سے کہا کہ ماحولیات سے متعلق ذمہ داری محکمہ کی ہے، اللہ تعالیٰ نے جو منصب عطا کیا ہے اسے ملک، صوبے اور عوام کی خدمت کے لیے استعمال کیا جائے۔موسمیاتی تبدیلی کے باعث درپیش چیلنجز سے نمٹنے کے لیے تمام افسران کو اپنی ذمہ داریاں پوری دیانت داری اور بروقت ادا کرنا ہوگا۔
انہوں نے اعلان کیا کہ محکمہ ماحولیات و موسمیاتی تبدیلی کی کارکردگی کا ہر ماہ جائزہ اور پیش رفت کا باقاعدہ اجلاس منعقد کیا جائے گا، جس میں افسران کی جانب سے دیے گئے اہداف اور ان پر ہونے والی پیش رفت کا تفصیلی جائزہ لیا جائے گا۔

EPA Ziarat Field Visit – Ziarat Road Project

The EPA Ziarat team, under the supervision of the Assistant Director EPA Ziarat and Inspector Sher, conducted a field visit to the ongoing Ziarat Road Project from Ziarat Cross to Ziarat Bazaar.

The visit commenced with an inspection of the project camp, where the team met with the concerned officers and received a briefing on the ongoing activities. Camp cleanliness, workers’ safety, medical facilities, food and drinking water arrangements, hygiene practices, machinery/vehicle parking and maintenance facilities were also inspected.

The project team informed that approximately 15–20 water tankers are used daily for water sprinkling. It was also reported that, so far, no worker has suffered any injury or fatality during the project.

The team subsequently inspected the road construction site, where machinery and ongoing works were found to be operating properly. The project management was advised to further improve environmental compliance, with particular emphasis on workers’ safety, protection of the public, control of air and land pollution, and proper handling and disposal of waste and other environmental impacts.

The project team assured that further improvements will be made and all applicable environmental compliance requirements will be followed in letter and spirit.

سیکرٹری ماحولیات کی زیر صدارت اہم اجلاس، ماحولیاتی نگرانی مؤثر بنانے اور بیپا ایکٹ 2012 پر سخت عملدرآمد کے اہم فیصلے

کوئٹہ: سیکرٹری ماحولیات و موسمیاتی تبدیلی نور احمد پرکانی سے ایڈیشنل سیکرٹری محمد یونس مینگل اور ڈائریکٹر جنرل ادارہ تحفظ ماحولیات (بیپا) ظہور بلوچ نے اہم ملاقات کی۔

ملاقات کے دوران صوبے میں ماحولیات کے تحفظ اور ماحولیاتی نظام کو مزید مؤثر بنانے کے مختلف امور پر تفصیلی تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا۔

اجلاس میں ماحولیات کے شعبے میں جدید ٹیکنالوجی کے استعمال کو فروغ دینے، ضلعی سطح پر ماحولیاتی آلودگی کی مانیٹرنگ کو مزید سخت اور مؤثر بنانے، ماحولیات سے متعلق ڈیٹا کلیکشن کے نظام کو بہتر بنانے، بیپا ایکٹ 2012 اور بلوچستان موسمیاتی تبدیلی پالیسی 2025 پر مکمل اور مؤثر عملدرآمد کو یقینی بنانے کے حوالے سے اہم فیصلے کیے گئے۔

سیکرٹری ماحولیات نور احمد پرکانی نے اس موقع پر ہدایت کی کہ ماحولیاتی قوانین پر سختی سے عملدرآمد، جدید ٹیکنالوجی سے استفادہ اور مؤثر نگرانی کے ذریعے صوبے میں ماحولیات کے تحفظ اور موسمیاتی تبدیلیوں کے اثرات سے نمٹنے کے اقدامات کو مزید مضبوط بنایا جائے۔

Field Visit / Environmental Compliance Inspection – Ziarat

On the directions of the Director General, Balochistan Environmental Protection Agency (BEPA), and under the supervision of the Assistant Director, EPA Ziarat, the EPA Ziarat team conducted a field visit to various commercial units and food outlets in Ziarat.

During the visit, different bakeries, meat shops, hotels, grocery/retail shops, barber shops, roadside food stalls, carts, and other food-related were inspected. The purpose of the visit was to assess environmental compliance, hygiene and sanitation practices, cleanliness standards, and overall environmental conditions at these premises.

The team also observed the importance of maintaining proper environmental and hygiene standards in Ziarat, being a major tourist destination visited by people from across Balochistan and other parts of Pakistan. Maintaining a clean, healthy, and hygienic environment, along with safe and quality food standards, is essential for providing a pleasant experience to tourists and the local community.

The EPA team conducted a comprehensive inspection of the market area, and observations regarding environmental compliance and sanitation will be documented. A detailed inspection report will be submitted separately for further necessary action.
