Visited a cotton field in 717 GB. Advised the farmer to apply two bags of Nitrophos as a source of phosphorus. Recommended the use of Roundup (Glyphosate) for effective control of all types of w**ds.
Additionally, suggested the application of sulphur, zinc sulphate, and humic acid, along with split doses of urea to improve crop growth.
The farmer was also advised not to spray against cotton thrips, aphids, jassids, or whiteflies below the Economic Threshold Level (ETL), as unnecessary spraying can stress the crop and ultimately reduce yield. And also done telephonic contact with farmers to inform their pending kissan card payments.
