On June 29, 2026, a child abuse case was registered through the *1121 Helpline* involving a 12-year-old child who had suffered severe abuse on Dated 10.08.2025.
So Under the guidance of *Chairperson Child Protection & Welfare Bureau and MPA Ma’am Sarah Ahmad and Director General Child Protection & Welfare Bureau Rao Nadeem Akhtar* Child Protection Unit Toba Tek Singh Team Visit the Survivor’s home to register the case and get information for case process. Due to extreme intimidation by the perpetrator and social stigma, the survivor’s family was initially hesitant and fearful of legal action. Through structured Case Management, psycho-social intervention, and swift inter-agency collaboration between the Child Protection Unit Toba Tek Singh and District Police Officer Toba Tek Singh, the barriers of historical reporting were overcome. This effort led directly to the registration of a First Information Report (FIR).

As per directions of Worthy Chairperson CPWB Ma’am Sarah Ahmad MPA and Director General Rao Nadeem Akhtar,DCPU Toba Tek Singh team conduct a session to
Create a safe world for our children starts with empowering them to speak up and recognize their rights. We recently conducted an interactive session on *Child Personal Safety, Body Awareness, Care, and Prevention of Abuse.*
Keeping child protection standards at the core, the session ensured active child participation through engaging children in activities—allowing the children to confidently learn about personal boundaries, trusted adults, and self-protection in a safe, nurturing environment. Children were also informed about *Child Protection Helpline 1121*

Empowering our children with the knowledge of safe vs. unsafe touch, and educating our communities on how to spot and prevent abuse, is a responsibility we all share.

As per directions of Worthy Chairperson CPWB Ma’am Sarah Ahmad (T.I.) MPA and Director General Rao Nadeem Akhtar, The Child Protection Unit (DCPU) Toba Tek Singh conducted an awareness session on *Child Personal Safety, Good Touch and Bad Touch, and Prevention of Child Abuse*. During the session, children were educated about self-protection and provided with informational pamphlets. Children were also informed about child help line 1121. The objective was to empower children with knowledge to ensure their safety and well-being.

*Under the supervision of Ma’am Sarah Ahmad, Chairperson, Child Protection & Welfare Bureau and Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA), Punjab Director General CPWB Rao Nadeem Akhtar,* the Child Protection Unit DCPU Toba Tek Singh warmly welcome Ma’am Zahida Manzoor, Focal Person, (UNICEF).
In A progress review meeting The Incharge Case Worker presented a report about rescued children, rehabilitation cases, family reunifications, and ongoing support services. The team also discussed challenges like limited resources and increasing case numbers. The UNICEF representative encouraged the staff and assured continued support and guidance. The visit was very positive and motivating, and it strengthened the partnership between CPU Toba Tek Singh and UNICEF to ensure better protection and a safer future for children.
