📌 EPI Routine Immunization Improvement Meeting

A Routine Immunization (RI) Coverage Improvement Meeting was held on 18 August 2026 at the DHO Office, District West, chaired by Dr. Shazia, ADHO Preventive, with Dr. Amir, DDHO / DFP EPI, as Co-Chair.

The meeting focused on improving RI coverage, strengthening micro-planning, partner engagement, catch-up activities, field preparedness, staff attendance, and timely resolution of ZM-related issues.

District West has achieved 73% FIC, with focused efforts planned to reach the remaining children.

Together, we remain committed to reaching every child with life-saving vaccines. 💉🤝

EPI Improvement Session 💉📈

An EPI Improvement & Orientation Session for vaccinators was successfully conducted at the Auditorium Hall, Sindh Government New Qatar Hospital.

The session focused on strengthening routine immunization practices, improving field performance, ensuring effective reporting, and enhancing coordination among EPI teams.

The session was conducted by DDHO Dr. Amir Hussain, DSC Dr. Sajid Ansari, DSV EPI Mr. Khalid, all TSVs, Mr. Hydar Ali VITAL Coordinator, and District DEO / DFP SEIR Syed Muhammad Hassam.

Vaccinators from Site and Orangi Town UCs actively participated in the session.

Together, we remain committed to improving EPI coverage, field performance, data reporting, and immunization services for every child. 💉🇵🇰

The BMGF Polio Lead conducted a partner review meeting at the DHO West office in the presence of DHMT, DEOC, and all implementing partners, including Vital Pakistan Trust, TVI, Impetus, HELP, Al-Shifa, Aman, and TKF.
During the meeting, DFP EPI, Dr. Uzair, presented the achievements, coverage, challenges, and areas requiring support from the Gates Foundation. Each partner also provided a brief overview of their contributions to District West.
Dr. Shazia emphasized the importance of the “One Team” approach, highlighting that all partners are considered an integral part of the District West team.
Dr. Lajpat DHO West acknowledged the contributions of all partners and directed to continue the same momentum and collaboration of DHMT and DEOC West.

Ms. Maria highly appreciated the overall performance of District West, commending the leadership and recognizing the effective role of DHMT and DEOC.

ورلڈ امیونائزیشن ویک کے حوالے سے آگاہی واک
​ڈسٹرکٹ ہیلتھ آفیسر (DHO) ویسٹ کی ہدایات پر ورلڈ امیونائزیشن ویک کے سلسلے میں ایک خصوصی آگاہی واک کا اہتمام کیا گیا۔ یہ واک 36 بیڈڈ ہسپتال سے عثمانِ غنی مسجد تک نکالی گئی۔
​واک کی نمایاں خصوصیات:
​شرکاء: واک میں علاقے کی بااثر شخصیات، سیاسی و سماجی رہنماؤں، فرنٹ لائن ورکرز اور پارٹنر آرگنائزیشنز نے بھرپور شرکت کی۔
​کمیونٹی کو پیغام: اس موقع پر عوام کو یہ اہم پیغام دیا گیا کہ اپنے بچوں کو 13 مہلک بیماریوں کے خلاف حفاظتی ٹیکے (ویکسین) ضرور لگوائیں۔
​مقصد: ہر بچے کی صحت کو یقینی بنانا تاکہ ایک صحت مند معاشرے کی بنیاد رکھی جا سکے۔
