On 23rd April 2026, to mark World Book Day, the Department of English at Government Degree College Oghi organized a book review session.
The session focused on George Orwell’s novel _Animal Farm_, which was discussed by a panel of students. Mr. Aman Ullah served as the moderator, while Shahzaib, Mudassir Aman, Ghalaza Saleem, and Laiba Ayub participated as panelists. The panel provided a detailed analysis of the novel’s complex themes, its use of literary propaganda, the context of the Cultural Cold War, and its enduring political allegory.
The event was attended by the teaching faculty of the college and students of the Department of English. The audience commended the panelists for their profound understanding of the novel and their insightful presentation.
At the conclusion of the session, certificates were distributed to the participants. Staff members of the Department of English expressed their intention to continue organizing such events in order to foster an intellectual culture within the college.
