Assalaamu Alaiykum my dear brothers.

I pray you are all well.

As I mentioned a few weeks ago, the government is making it hard to register new village societies - agencies do lots of checking. It takes about 10 months to register a society. The banks are also making it difficult to set up society accounts.

We have therefore decided to activate an old village bank account which was set up 10 years ago by Haji Sadiq sahib and bhau Ashraf sahib when our streets, nala and pond were built. The account was frozen by UBL as there has been no transactions for over 5 years.

The account is now active.

Haji Sadiq sahib's name has been removed. In future, bhau Ashraf sahib and Haji Asghar sahib will jointly sign all payments - please see attached letter to UBL.

Assalaamu Alaiykum dear brothers.

Next Maken Welfare Society project is a 3 month FREE course for ladies who can not read or write. Course will be held in Maken Sharif.

Insha'Allah by the end of the course, as a minimum ladies will be able read a newspaper.

Kindly check with ladies in your families if they would to attend this course and let me know how many.

We need to confirm numbers by Wednesday.

Assalaamu Alaiykum dear brothers

I pray you and family are all well.

We held a village society meeting after Zohar today. I briefed everyone on your recent visits and projects we are working on. We also discussed our village needs and priorities. The committee identified the following projects as priority.

1. Gas to village

2. School: making school from current Primary to Middle - reason being that a lot of parents don't send their daughters to school once they reach Middle age. Also help to raise education standard of current school.

3. Nala cleaning/repairs & pond drenching

4. Repairs to main road into the village

5. Zarai subsidies/support to farmers

6. Health centre/ambulance for Maken and surrounding villages.

I appreciate some of these might be outside your domain but we would be grateful for any help you can provide.

الحمد لللہ آج میکن ویلفئر سوسائٹی کے تحت پہلا فری آئی کیمپ منعقد کیا گیا جوکہ پنجن کسانہ میں منعقد ہوا جس میں 30 مرد و خواتین نے فری چیک اپ کروایا ۔جن کو پک اینڈ ڈراپ کے لیے بالکل فری ٹرانسپورٹ بھی مہیا کی گی بچیوں کے لیے فری سلائی سنٹر اور بچوں کے لیے 6 مختلف ٹیکنیکل کورسز کے لیے بھی کام جاری ہے۔۔
