Sialkot Sports News: Second Chief of Army Staff Hockey Championship

The Second Chief of Army Staff Hockey Championship, organized by the District Hockey Association Sialkot, has officially commenced. On the opening day, five thrilling matches were played, with a young officer from the Pakistan Army inaugurating the event. The matches witnessed great enthusiasm and competitive spirit among the teams.

Following the quarterfinal matches, Gareez Hockey Club, Asif Bajwa Hockey Club, Ajmal Khan Hockey Club, and Municipal Pasrur have successfully qualified for the semi-finals. The schedule for today is as follows:

First Semi-Final: 1:30 PM

Second Semi-Final: 3:30 PM

The much-anticipated Floodlight Final Match will take place today at 5:30 PM.

All matches are being played at the Sialkot Sports Complex, CMH Road, Sialkot.

Hockey enthusiasts are encouraged to join and support their favorite teams in this exciting championship.

🏑 2nd Chief of Army Staff Inter-Club National Hockey Championship 2024-25 - Final Match Updates 🏑

The grand finale of the 2nd Chief of Army Staff Inter-Club National Hockey Championship 2024-25 was held today at the AstroTurf Hockey Ground in Dera Ghazi Khan, featuring an intense showdown between Friends Hockey Club and Ghazi Hockey Club.

Distinguished Guests:
- President PHF, Sardar Mir Tariq Hussain Bugti (Guest of Honor, from Balochistan)
- Commissioner DG Khan, Dr. Nasir Mehmood Bashir
- Deputy Commissioner & DPO DG Khan

On arrival, the guests were welcomed by Organizing Secretary Sheikh Haroon Saeed with flower garlands and bouquets. Team introductions, group photos, and ceremonial proceedings added grace to the event.

Match Summary:
- The match consisted of 4 quarters, with the **first two quarters tied at 1-1.
- In the third quarter, Ghazi Hockey Club took the lead with remarkable gameplay.
- The fourth quarter saw a stunning comeback by Friends Hockey Club, scoring two consecutive goals to secure the championship with a 3-2 victory.

Awards and Recognition:
- Chief Guest Sardar Mir Tariq Hussain Bugti presented shields to officials and awarded cash prizes and trophies to the winning and runner-up teams.
- **1st Position**: Friends Hockey Club
- **2nd Position**: Ghazi Hockey Club

The championship saw participation from nine district clubs, including Friends Hockey Club, Ghazi Hockey Club, Tipu Hockey Club, Danish Club, Eagles Club, Young Friends Hockey Club, Azad Club, Shaheen Club, and Gulistan Hockey Club.

The event concluded with Commissioner DG Khan receiving an honorary shield from PHF President, while the District Hockey Association members were honored with national flag badges. The event witnessed a large audience, including DHA officials, hockey enthusiasts, and local citizens.
