Project Management Unit, P&SHD is working on MSDS compliance in DHQ and THQ Hospitals of Punjab. “Imaging Services Comply with Legal and Other Requirements” is one of the MSDS compliance indicator.
In this regard, Project Management Unit, P&SHD conducted training of Imaging Technologist/Technician and Quality assurance officer on radiation safety by Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority (PNRA) in the DHQ/THQ Hospitals of Bahawalpur, Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur, Vehari, Lodhran, Multan, Khanewal districts and THQ Hospital Taunsa.

Today was the last day of second batch and completion of overall training of newly recruited New Management Structure Staff for THQ and DHQ Hospitals of Punjab organized by PMU, P&SHD in University of Health Sciences, Lahore.

PMU is highly thankful to Dr. Ahsan Waheed Rathore, Vice Chancellor UHS and his team for his seamless support and logistics for the training.

Trainers from PMU, P&SHD conducted the training on the following areas:

a. Contract Employment Policy, 2014 and leave rules by Mr. Usman Iftikhar, Director HR & Planning.

b. Procurement and PPR Rules 2014 by Mr. Umair Najam, Procurement Specialist.

c. Project Planning & PC-01 formulation by Mr. Jahanzeb Akhter, Senior Project Manager (Planning), PMU.

Furthermore, Mr. Khalid Shareef, Manager MIS P&SHD gave detailed presentation on working of HISDU and its role in digitization of the health system in healthcare facilities across Punjab.

Today was the 1st day of second round of “Training Program” for newly recruited New Management Structure (NMS) Staff for THQ and DHQ Hospitals of Punjab organized by PMU, P&SHD in University of Health Sciences, Lahore.

In this round of training session, the following NMS Officers are given training:

1. Assistant Admin Officer
2. Data Entry Operator

Mian Tariq Mahmood, Project Director PMU welcomed the participants of the training and had a detailed session on the 06-point revamping agenda of PMU followed by a question and answer session.

A detailed recorded video of Mr. Ali Jan Khan, Worthy Secretary Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department on the revamping journey of health facilities at Primary & Secondary level across Punjab was also played in the training session.

Trainers from PMU, P&SHD conducted the training on the following areas:

a. Mr. Usman Iftikhar, Director HR & Planning had a question and answer session with the newly recruited NMS regarding their job responsibilities in the field.

b. MSDS Compliance by Dr. Ibtisam Adnan, Senior Project Manager Technical, PMU.

c. Outsourcing of Janitorial, MEPG, Security and CT scan services by Mr. M. Ali, Director Outsourcing, PMU.

d. Biomedical equipment functionality and maintenance by Mr. Shahbaz Yasin, Director BERC and Ms. Fatima Kausar Biomedical Engineer, BERC.

e. Operational management by Dr. Ayesha Noman, Director Operations, PMU.

The under training NMS were also assessed after the end of training session.

Project Management Unit (PMU), P&SHD is working vigorously on Human Resource strengthening to ensure the presence of right people for the right job in Secondary Health Facilities across Punjab. In this regard, PMU has recruited New Management Structure staff for DHQ & THQ Hospitals of P&SHD.

Today (24.11.2023) was the last day of first round of Training Program for NMS organized by PMU in University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore. Mian Tariq Mahmood Project Director PMU-P&SHD and Dr. M. Farooq Ahmed, PD PACP / MS DHQ Hospital Kasur graced the participants of the training session as the guests of honor.

a. Mr. Usman Iftikhar, Director HR & Planning had a detailed question and answer session with the newly recruited NMS staff regarding their and responsibilities for provision of healthcare services in the THQ and DHQ hospitals across Punjab.

b. PPRA rules 2014 by Mr. Umair Najam, Procurement Specialist, PMU.

c. Outsourcing of Security and MEPG services by Mr. M. Ali, Director Outsourcing, PMU.

d. MSDS continuous quality improvement with focus on ROM, FMA & IMS by Dr. Ibtisam Adnan, Senior Project Manager Technical, PMU.

e. Financial rules by Mr. Kashif Rasheed, Manager Audit & Accounts PMU, Mr. Attiq-ur-Rehman Finance & Budget Officer THQ Hospital Ferozewala.

Mr. Khalid Shareef, the Manager of Management Information Systems (MIS) gave a detailed presentation on the Health Management Information System (HMIS) of P&SHD. This system is designed to manage and analyze healthcare data for better decision-making and overall improvement of healthcare services.

Today (23.11.2023) was the 4th day of Training Program for newly recruited New Management Structure (NMS) Staff for THQ and DHQ Hospitals of Punjab organized by PMU, P&SHD in University of Health Sciences, Lahore.

Trainers from PMU, P&SHD conducted the training on the following areas:

a. PEEDA Act 2006 & Performance Evaluation Report by Mr. Usman Iftikhar, Director HR & Planning, PMU.

b. Project Planning & PC-02, PC-03, PC-04 and PC-05 formulation by Mr. Jahanzeb Akhter, Senior Project Manager (Planning), PMU.

c. MSDS continuous quality improvement with focus on sterilization by Dr. Ibtisam Adnan, Senior Project Manager Technical, PMU.

d. The Punjab Delegation of Financial Power Rules, 2016 by Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Consultant Admn & HR PMU.

e. PPRA rules 2014 by Mr. Umair Najam, Procurement Specialist, PMU.

Furthermore, Mr. Khalid Shareef, Manager MIS P&SHD along with his team gave detailed presentation on EMR & HMIS.
