The Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services (PIPS) has mandate to take measures for capacity building of Assembly Secretariats. In this regard, a three day workshop on “House and Committee Business: Responsibilities and Functions of Punjab Assembly Officers”, was organized by the Institute in collaboration with IP5 – Mustehkam Parlimaan (a project funded by European Union) on 1st June, 2022 at Avari Hotel, Lahore. The objective of workshop was to enhance knowledge and skills of secretariat officers in House and Committee Business. This will help them improve their performance in carrying out their responsibilities in more effective and efficient way.

A Post Budget Orientation Seminar was organized for Hon'ble Members of Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in collaboration with Centre for Peace and Development Initiatives (CPDI). Mr. Haider Abbas, D.G. Finance, PIPS gave an overview of Annual Budget Statement (ABS). Dr. Wasim Shahid Malik, Professor of Economics on SBP Chair briefed participants regarding Key Economic Challenges Pakistan's Economy with Special Focus on Economy of Punjab Province.
