*Kohat Business Leaders Meet KP Industry Adviser, Push for Investment and Industrial Growth*
PESHAWAR, June 4
A delegation of the Kohat Chamber of Commerce and Industry led by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Shafi Jan, met Adviser to the Chief Minister on Industries and Commerce Humayun Khan on Thursday to discuss investment promotion, industrial development and challenges facing the business community in the province.
The delegation congratulated Khan on assuming his new responsibilities and held detailed discussions on opportunities for economic growth, particularly in the Kohat region. Senior government officials, including Industries Secretary Amjad Ali Khan and Small Industries Development Board Managing Director Abdul Hameed, also attended the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Kohat Chamber President Rasheed Paracha highlighted the key issues confronting businesses and emphasized the need for stronger government support to boost investor confidence, improve industrial infrastructure and facilitate commercial activities.
“Enhancing industrial facilities and creating a business-friendly environment can significantly strengthen economic activity in the region,” Paracha told.
Industries Adviser reaffirmed the provincial government's commitment to industrial and commercial development, describing the sectors as central to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s economic strategy.
“The government is committed to working closely with the private sector to promote investment, create employment opportunities and accelerate industrial growth,” Khan said. He added that all available resources would be utilized to support economic expansion and attract investors to the province.
The Adviser also pledged to address concerns raised by the business community and implement industry-friendly policies aimed at making Khyber Pakhtunkhwa a more attractive destination for local and foreign investment.
Other members of the delegation, including Waqas Paracha and retired Colonel Jawad Paracha, attended the meeting.
Participants agreed that sustained cooperation between the government and the private sector would be crucial in unlocking new avenues for industrial development, trade expansion and long-term economic growth across the province.
