TDAP in collaboration with the Commercial Section Paris organized the Pakistan Pavilion at the 59th edition of Texworld Paris, where Pakistani exhibitors showcased their expertise
H.E. Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, Ambassador of Pakistan to France, inaugurated the Pakistan Pavilion and toured the exhibition, engaging with Pakistani exhibitors. The exhibition was held from 31st August to 2nd September 2026 and the Commercial Section facilitated B2B meetings for the exhibitors.

GLOBE- ENABLEMENT CEREMONY

Ten Pakistani businesses did not leave GLOBE with a resolution. They left with accounts.
At the GLOBE Business Enablement Ceremony, Wali Nawab, H’sera, Claw Kids, Rouge Officials, Sudeshi, Hunza Taste, ReLife, Cinjoor, Orah Jewels and Yumkins were onboarded onto Octane, LAAM’s platform built in Pakistan for cross-border selling.
Each received three certificates, presented by Chief Guest Mr. Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Commerce and Industry.
LAAM, for platform access, training and onboarding.
GAPIFI, launched at this summit by Mr. Mustafa Najoom, for six months of its AI-enabled marketing tool at no cost.
The Bank of Punjab, for a fast-track lane on financing applications referred through GLOBE.
Offers were not confined to the ten. DHL and JazzCash opened concessional shipping rates and merchant account facilities to every participant in the hall.
Ten is a deliberate number. It is a token of what this platform can deliver, not its limit.

Karachi, 4th September 2026.

CEO SMEDA, Ms. Nadia J. Seth, called on Secretary TDAP, Mr. Sheryar Taj, at the TDAP Head office today to discuss areas of mutual cooperation. Ms. Nadia briefed about SMEDA’s various initiatives and programs to enhance SMEs productivity, competitiveness and growth, including Women Entrepreneurship Initiative and SME Certification & International Grant Program. Mr. Sheryar Taj invited SMEDA to participate in TDAP’s flagship events and Made in Pakistan Exhibitions, with both sides agreeing to establish SMEDA Pavilion at the upcoming FoodAg 2027.
TDAP & SMEDA further agreed to collaborate in TDAP’s National Exporters Training Program by arranging SMEs to attend the training sessions and SMEDA becoming a co-trainer along with other relevant agencies. This partnership will also allow TDAP to reach even more entrepreneurial SMEs for participation in international exhibitions. Both sides resolved to institutionalize collaboration through signing of an MOU in near future, allowing both organizations to collaborate further for SME export development.

GLOBE 2026 - INAUGURAL CEREMONY

More than 250 participants filled the hall in Islamabad for the opening of the GLOBE Pakistan Summit 2026.

GLOBE, Gateway to Logistics and Online Business through E-commerce, is convened by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan under the Ministry of Commerce. This was its second edition.
Mr. Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Commerce and Industry, joined as Chief Guest.
The inaugural session was opened by Mr. Faiz Ahmed Chadhar, Chief Executive TDAP, followed by Ms. Rafia Syed, Director General Services TDAP, on how this edition was designed.
Mr. Robert Skidmore, Chief of Sector and Enterprise Competitiveness at the International Trade Centre, the joint agency of the United Nations and the World Trade Organization, addressed the summit. Professor Dr. Thomas Sim, President of FIATA, sent a message to the hall.
Partner addresses came from Mr. Asif Riaz of the Bank of Punjab, Mr. Arif Iqbal of LAAM, and Mr. Ali Naseer of JazzWorld.

Digital Literacy Program

TDAP Quetta, in collaboration with Circle Women Association and Quetta Chamber of Commerce & Industry (QCCI), organized a Digital Literacy Program for Women Entrepreneurs on September 3, 2026, at QCCI, Quetta. The comprehensive training session focused to build the digital literacy and capacity of women entrepreneurs by promoting the adoption of digital tools for business development. It aimed to facilitate market expansion, enhance awareness of digital marketing techniques, and encourage the effective use of digital financial services for business growth and sustainability.
The training session was conducted by Ms. Hareem, who guided participants on practical digital business tools, online marketing strategies, social media promotion, product presentation, and customer engagement.

The welcome note was delivered by Mr. Asif Abro, Assistant Director, TDAP Quetta, while Haji Muhammad Ayub Marriani, President, QCCI, delivered the closing remarks, appreciated the initiative, and distributed certificates among trainees.
