Director General SPDPA, Mr. Ghulam Farooq Leghari, visited the Special Education and Rehabilitation Centre, Sanghar. During his visit, he inspected the classrooms, vocational training rooms, and physiotherapy facilities. He interacted with the differently abled children and staff, taking keen interest in their activities and the services being provided.

The Director General appreciated the dedicated efforts of the centre’s administration and staff in supporting the education, rehabilitation, and skill development of students. He also assured his continued support and cooperation for further improvement of the centre and the betterment and welfare of its students. Regional Director SBA, was accompanied with DG SPDPA during the visit.

A committee constituted by DEPD visited the head office of HANDS welfare organization Karachi to examine and evaluate its proposals aimed at promoting the inclusion and empowerment of persons with disabilities. 3-DAY CAPACITY BUILDING TRAINING CONCLUDES WITH CERTIFICATE DISTRIBUTION CEREMONY AT ZIAUDDIN UNIVERSITY KARACHI

The 3-Day Capacity Building Training Program for Health Care Professionals & Special Education Teachers jointly organized by SETTAS and Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Ziauddin University concluded successfully today at ZCPT, Boat Basin, Clifton Karachi.

Dean, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Ziauddin University

Ceremony Highlights:
The closing and certificate distribution ceremony was held from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM. A total of 29 participants from across Sindh completed the training.

The ceremony commenced with recitation from the Holy Quran followed by a welcome address by Mr. Muhammad Shabbir, Deputy Director SETTAS. Prof. Dr. Sumaira Imran Faroqui presented an overview of the 3-day training and appreciated the dedication of participants.

Mr. Ghulam Farooq Laghari, Chief Guest, in his address lauded the collaboration between SETTAS and Ziauddin University and emphasized the need to implement learned rehabilitation techniques for children with disabilities across Sindh. He along with the Special Guest distributed certificates to all 29 participants.

The Director, SETTAS delivered the Vote of Thanks and expressed gratitude to the management of Ziauddin University for facilitating the training program, providing venue, technical support, and expert faculty.

The event concluded with the National Anthem and refreshments.

This initiative reflects the commitment of the Government of Sindh to build capacity of professionals for inclusive education and rehabilitation services in the province.
