KARACHI: A landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was officially signed between the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD), Government of Sindh, and the Sindh Institute of Child Health & Neonatology (SICHN) to revolutionize healthcare access for neurodivergent and differently-abled children. The MoU was executed in the gracious presence of the Worthy Secretary (DEPD) Mr. Tuaha Ahmed Faruqui, and Executive Director SICHN Prof. Jamal Raza.
Under the terms of this milestone agreement, all children with special needs registered with the department will receive comprehensive medical, diagnostic, and therapeutic services entirely free of cost at SICHN facilities. Following the signing ceremony, Prof. Jamal Raza and his clinical team guided the DEPD delegation through the hospital, showcasing their state-of-the-art facilities. The tour highlighted SICHN's structured specialized services, including advanced medical assessments, precise diagnostic testing, customized therapeutic procedures, and holistic rehabilitation services. This partnership marks a significant step forward in building a truly inclusive and accessible healthcare ecosystem in Sindh.
