Deputy Commissioner East Nasrullah Abbasi and SSP East Zubair Nazeer Shaikh visited the route of the Chup Tazia procession (8th Rabi-ul-Awwal) and Imambargah Shah-e-Najaf, Martin Road, to inspect security arrangements and civic/municipal services along the procession route. The DC and SSP were briefed by the concerned officials regarding security, cleanliness, lighting, road conditions, and other necessary arrangements. The organizers of the procession also met the officers and briefed them about the arrangements and requirements. The DC directed all concerned departments to ensure effective coordination and timely provision of all essential services for the peaceful and smooth conduct of the procession

Deputy Commissioner East, Nasrullah Abbasi, visited Hassasin Park near Guru Mandir to inspect the ongoing development and renovation work being carried out by TMC Jinnah. The park had remained abandoned and neglected for a considerable period and is now being rehabilitated to provide a clean and improved recreational space for the public. The DC was accompanied by the Municipal Commissioner, TMC Jinnah, and other concerned officials. During the visit, he reviewed the progress of the work and directed the Municipal Commissioner to ensure that all renovation, development, landscaping, and beautification works are completed within two weeks

Deputy Commissioner East, Nasrullah Abbasi visited the Numaish Chowrangi–Guru Mandir area to review the ongoing renovation and beautification of the road, footpaths, roundabouts, and surrounding infrastructure. AC JQ and officials from KMC, TMC, SSWMB, and KWSC accompanied the deputy commissioner. KMC officials briefed that improvement works were already underway. The DC directed all concerned departments to complete the renovation and beautification work within two weeks, remove all encroachments, ensure the removal of debris and cleanliness on daily basis and carry out proper painting and colouring of the footpaths, roundabouts, and flyover to give the entire area a clean and attractive look.

On the directions of Deputy Commissioner East, A joint anti-encroachment operation was conducted on 20-07-2026 by Assistant Commissioner Gulshan-e-Iqbal in coordination with Sindh Police and TMC Gulshan along the main road from Gulshan Chowrangi to Maskan Chowrangi. During the operation, 13 commercial establishments and 2 roadside carts were found involved in soft encroachment by occupying public space. The encroachments were removed, and the violators were directed not to re-establish them. The operation was completed peacefully and successfully, restoring public space and ensuring the smooth flow of vehicular traffic and pedestrian movement.

Mr. Nasrullah Abbasi, Deputy Commissioner East Karachi, attended the World Population Day awareness session organized under the National Programme for Family Planning and Primary Healthcare/NPVE initiative at District East, Karachi.
During his address, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the importance of population management, reproductive health awareness, and coordinated efforts to improve public service delivery. He emphasized the need for strengthening community awareness, promoting responsible family planning, and ensuring the effective implementation of government initiatives through close coordination among all stakeholders.

The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the efforts of the District Health Office, healthcare professionals, and partner organizations in organizing the awareness session. He encouraged all concerned departments to continue working collectively to achieve sustainable population and health outcomes for the people of District East.

The visit concluded with an interactive session and a reaffirmation of the district administration’s commitment to supporting public health and population welfare initiatives.

Evening Review Meeting was held at the DC Complex East, chaired by the worthy Deputy Commissioner East Nasrullah Abbasi. The meeting was attended by the DHO East, PEOC Dr Azeem Khuwaja, LEAs representatives, DEOC and DHMT members were also present during this meeting.
