It was a privilege to attend the highly informative workshop titled “Energy and Climate Modeling through Low Emissions Analysis Platform (LEAP)” held at the Allama Iqbal Auditorium, International Islamic University Islamabad.

The workshop was excellently organized by Dr. Nadeem Ahmed Sheikh (Director IPD), along with Dr. Aamir Khan and Imtiaz Shah, under the gracious hosting of Dr. Fauzia Ajmal, in collaboration with ISDG, and generously sponsored by the Embassy of Denmark.

The session was inaugurated by the Worthy President of IIUI, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed, who delivered an inspiring opening address, highlighting the importance of sustainable energy and climate-conscious policies. Dr. Nadeem Ahmed Sheikh (Director IPD) also emphasized the significance of such initiatives and extended his gratitude to the university leadership and distinguished guests.

We were honored to have Her Excellency Maja Derrous Mortensen, Ambassador of Denmark, as the keynote speaker. Her insightful address provided valuable global perspectives on climate action and sustainable energy transitions. The workshop was attended by distinguished experts from both industry and academia, making it a vibrant platform for knowledge sharing.

I was pleased to participate in this enriching session alongside Dr. Athar Masood and Dr. Muhammad Arif, further strengthening professional collaboration and academic engagement.

Such initiatives play a vital role in promoting sustainable development and enhancing capacity in energy and emissions modeling.
