📢 Official Notification – Directorate General Nursing Punjab
The Directorate General Nursing Services, Punjab (Notification No. 3826-39/DGN dated 15-09-2025), has issued directions regarding the office duty of Head Nurses (BS-17) and Charge Nurses (BS-16) in Punjab hospitals.
👉 It has been observed that some Charge Nurses (BS-16) are performing office duties without genuine reasons, which is against discipline and deprives Head Nurses (BS-17) of their rights.
✅ The notification directs that Head Nurses (BS-17) and senior Charge Nurses (BS-16) may be deputed for official office duties on a rotational basis every three months.
✅ All kinds of fund collection practices must be stopped immediately.
⚠️ Strict disciplinary action will be taken against non-compliance.

📢 Important Update for Nursing Community
As per the official notification issued on 15th September 2025 by the Government of Pakistan, Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination, and in compliance with the Honorable Islamabad High Court’s orders:
✅ Mr. Jawad Amin Khan has been restored as President of the Pakistan Nursing & Midwifery Council (PNMC).
✅ Mr. Shahid Hussain has been restored as Vice President of PNMC.
❌ Ms. Farzana Zulfiqar Ali has been de-notified from the position of President of PNMC.
This decision has been made with the approval of the Prime Minister and is effective immediately.
