A Journey That Strengthened My Faith in Humanity ❤️
Reflections from My July 2026 Visit to Baltistan
———-
Alhamdulillah, after several weeks of traveling across Baltistan, I have returned with a heart full of gratitude, hope, and renewed determination.

As the Founder of Akhundian Foundation, I have been visiting Baltistan for many years, but every journey teaches me something new. This visit reminded me that true wealth is not found in cities or buildings—it is found in the resilience of people who refuse to give up despite enormous hardships.

I traveled through Kharmang, Shigar, Skardu, Rondu, and some of the most remote villages, crossing rough mountain roads and difficult terrain to meet children whose only dream is to receive an education, patients who simply wish for access to basic healthcare, and communities who continue to struggle with dignity and patience.

There were moments that deeply touched my heart.

I met children studying in schools with the simplest of facilities, yet their eyes were filled with dreams bigger than the mountains surrounding them. I visited Koltor, where Akhundian Foundation has appointed a teacher in the village’s only primary school. Despite isolation and limited resources, the parents’ determination to educate their children is truly inspiring. It reminded me that when a community values education, no obstacle is too great.

I visited our newly constructed Akhundian Diagnostic Center & Urgent Care in Gohari. Standing inside the building, I imagined the countless mothers, elderly people, and sick children who, for years, had to travel hours on dangerous roads just to receive basic medical care. InshaAllah, once fully equipped, this center will save lives, reduce suffering, and bring hope to thousands of families living in remote valleys.

One of the most emotional moments of this journey was attending our free medical camp in Hamzigond, where more than 200 patients received treatment and free medicines. Behind every patient was a story of hardship, sacrifice, and perseverance. These are the people who often suffer in silence, and they deserve our compassion and support.

Throughout this journey, I also visited schools, orphan care institutions, vocational training centers, and community organizations. I met dedicated teachers, doctors, volunteers, students, religious scholars, village elders, and social workers who have devoted their lives to serving others. Their sincerity reminded me that real change is never achieved by one person alone—it is built by communities united by compassion and a shared purpose.

I was especially encouraged by my meetings with respected Ulama, educational leaders, social welfare organizations, and young student representatives. Despite different backgrounds and institutions, everyone shared one common goal: a brighter future for Baltistan through education, healthcare, unity, and service.

Every handshake, every conversation, every child’s smile, and every heartfelt prayer strengthened my belief that even the smallest sincere effort can change lives.

But this journey also reminded me how much work still lies ahead.

There are villages where children still study without enough teachers. There are families who cannot afford medicine. There are patients who travel for hours just to see a doctor. There are bright young people who dream of becoming doctors, teachers, and engineers but lack the financial means to continue their education.

These are not just statistics. They are our brothers, our sisters, our children, and our shared responsibility.

Alhamdulillah, because of your generosity, Akhundian Foundation has been able to provide teachers to remote schools, organize free medical camps, offer scholarships, support deserving families, and build healthcare facilities that will benefit generations to come. Every achievement belongs first to Allah (SWT), and then to every donor, volunteer, well-wisher, and supporter who believed in this mission.

From the depths of my heart, I thank everyone who welcomed me with such love and respect throughout Baltistan. Your hospitality, trust, encouragement, and prayers have humbled me beyond words.

I also extend my deepest gratitude to our supporters around the world. Whether you donated, volunteered, shared our work, or simply remembered us in your prayers, you have become part of every child who learns to read, every patient who receives treatment, and every family whose burden has been eased.

As I leave Baltistan once again, I do so with mixed emotions. My body has returned, but a part of my heart remains in those mountains, those villages, those schools, and with the beautiful people whose resilience continues to inspire me.

Please continue to pray for Akhundian Foundation, our volunteers, our donors, and the people of Baltistan. Together, with Allah’s help, we will continue to bring education where there is ignorance, healthcare where there is suffering, and hope where there is despair.

“The best among people are those who are most beneficial to humanity.”

May Allah (SWT) accept our humble efforts, bless the people of Baltistan, reward every supporter abundantly, and make this mission a source of continuous charity (Sadaqah Jariyah) for all who contribute. Ameen.

Alhamdulillah!
A one-day First Aid and Post-Flood Medical Camp was successfully conducted in Tormik, Rondu, to provide essential healthcare services to families affected by the recent floods.
Our dedicated medical team provided first aid, medical consultations, free medicines, and health advice to residents facing post-flood health challenges. Such initiatives are vital in preventing the spread of waterborne and infectious diseases while ensuring timely medical care for vulnerable communities.
We sincerely thank all the doctors, healthcare workers, volunteers, donors, and local community members whose support made this humanitarian effort possible. May Allah (SWT) accept everyone’s efforts and grant health, safety, and relief to all those affected. Ameen.
