It's no secret that activities at home are an important supplement to the formal education, but there's more to it than that. There are things that you can give children at home that the classrooms cannot give. Fill your children's reading times with imagination, by carefully selected, variety of books.

Read aloud with them. Be consistent, be patient, and watch the magic work.

It’s greatest value is in the way it brings authors, readers of all ages and tastes, publishers, booksellers, teachers, librarians and the media together with the single focus of remembering the treasures and opportunities that books continue to provide.
We hope that WBD will encourage more people to lose themselves in the pages of a book during COVID-19 lockdown.

2-Day Bookfest | Roshni Children’s Book Festival: Joy of Reading & Writing | Highlights | Gozo, K.N.Shah, Sindh |

To celebrate the power and joy of reading & writing, more than 1100 students from 17 Public/private schools of Gozo town of K.N Shah Sindh, attended our 2-days long Roshni Children’s Book Festival.

*We would like to suggest, to the Sindh Education & Literacy Department, to introduce a half an hour mandatory class/period of ‘Reading’,across all the schools and colleges of Sindh. We have also collected 373 signatures regarding our request, from parents and students who attended the book festival. Special thanks to Bilqees Razia welfare Trust knshah, our only colloboraton partner, to support this cause and Zeeshan Ahmed and Sagar Gopang (Sagar Films) for creating such a beautiful highlight of this bookfest.

Literary festivals are not only about authors/speakers presenting their views and ideas but it is also about engaging the audience in a lively interaction. This was very much in evidence as the two-day first edition of the Roshni Children's Book Festival at a small Gozo town of K.N.Shah' came to a close with the curious children asking interesting questions

We are grateful to everyone for being part of this initiative, and for helping weave the magic of words and wisdom through this children's festival, the first of its kind in the region. We have collected 373 signatures for the request to 'Sindh Education & Literacy Department', to introduce a half an hour mandatory class for ‘Reading’,across all the schools of Sindh.

In order to ensure transparency in our collaborations, we will also be sharing a detailed budget of this festival at our website and event page. Special thanks to Bilqees Razia Welfare Trust for supporting this important cause. Thanks
