Process for Award of Need Based Scholarship (NBS) Cadet College Hasan Abdal | Abdalians | Alumni | CCH | HasanAbdal
1. The availability of NBS is widely and regularly disseminated
2. During the application stage and interview process, economically challenged students are identified.
3. After the announcement of result of selection process, a letter is sent to the parents informing them of their son/ward’s admission.
4. On receipt of the information of admission, if the parents consider themselves unable to afford fees, they are encouraged to apply for financial assistance. If a student, granted admission, does not acknowledge admission letter, CCH reaches out to determine reasons and if it is financial challenge, CCHET is directed to reach out and determine the need.
5. All such parents are then sent the approved NBS application form. The form is included in the attached document as Annexure – A.
6. The completed form and a hard copy of all the required documents are sent to Cadet College Hasanabdal Endowment Trust (CCHEFT) office through CCH admission office.
7. The CCHEFT office starts scrutiny of all the forms, matching the declared information with the documentary evidence.
8. FBR registration and last year’s Income Tax is mandatory and without this document no application is processed further.
9. In case any parent has not sent a hard copy of required documents as per the check list (NBS application form), they are informed by email and phone to send the documents.
10. After scrutiny of all received application forms, the CCHEFT office sends the list of applicants and tabulated information about each one, to the adjutant’s office for a field verification.
11. The concerned departments carry out the field verification using different sources, including but not limited to local administration, police, Counsellors/ MPAs, Intelligence agencies and CCH Alumni.
12. The field verification report is then shared with the CCHEFT office.
13. The CCHEFT office then prepares a final list of all applicants with the collected data in a tabulated form. This list also contains recommendations of CCHEFT for each applicant on the basis of collected information.
14. The final prepared list is then discussed in a meeting of Scholarship Committee which comprises of Principal, COO CCHEFT, VP, DVPs, Adjutant and Head Clerk.
15. The Principal also adds his input and observations noted during interview, about the applicant.
16. The scholarship committee then discusses each case individually and decides about award of scholarship.
17. The Scholarship is awarded as a percentage of fee which may range from 25% to 100%. The criteria for deciding the percentage of fee as scholarship is clearly defined in the CCH Scholarship policy, duly approved by the BOG and EC of CCH.
18. After the decision of Scholarships in the Committee, the parents are informed by the CCHEFT office through a letter.
19. This information is also shared with the Accounts office and Admissions Branch for their record and action.
The CCHEFT office always welcome queries regarding NBS by the parents, before and after award of scholarships.
