Saltoro The Faerie Valley, fifth highest human habitation on the earth, often called roof of the world for being situated at altitude of 12,000 feet above sea level. This valley of wild rose, lush greenery, beautiful snow-land, highest mountains and romantic lakes, is located at north of Pakistan, Gilgit Baltistan. The valley has the privilege to host the Saltoro Mountain Range a sub-range of Karakoram and lies in the heart of it with height of 25400 ft . The valley also leads to Saltoro Bilafond La that connects Pakistan to famous Siachen Glaciere. The valley is the safest land root to Saltoro Kongri, Bilafond la, Gyong la, Ali Brangsa and all Saltoro Range, the sub-ranges of Asia's longest mountain range Karakuram. Unfortunate is the Siachen Conflict that stops them from the adventures. But now a ray of hope has been emerged in the shape of the movement of Siachen Peace Park . It is an idea to demilitarize Siachen and open it for adventurers. The last and highest civil settlement of Pakistan, Goma village is also situated in the valley. Goma is the nearest village to the Indo-Pak LoC on Pakistan side at Siachen. The valley welcomes the tourists with breath-taking views of lush green fields in summer which turn white snow-land in winters. It also offers sub-valleys of flowers and mountains with springs, lakes and rivers. Administratively Saltoro The Faerie Valley is a union council of Federally administrated, namely province Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan. It comes in Mashabrum sub-division and District Gongche, Baltistan Division.
