CUVAS Delegation Visits Livestock Farms in Khanewal to Strengthen Industry-Academia Collaboration
Khanewal, September 1, 2026:
Vice Chancellor, Cholistan University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (CUVAS), Bahawalpur, *Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tariq* Javed, along with Dean, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, *Prof. Dr. Riaz Hussain,* and Chairman, Department of Theriogenology, *Prof. Dr. Fazal Wadood,* visited Fongrow Livestock Farms and Jahangirabad Farm, Khanewal, owned by *Sardar Aftab Ahmad Wattoo,* President, Sahiwal Cattle Breeding Society.
During the visit, a productive discussion was held with the farm management to explore opportunities for strengthening collaboration between CUVAS and the livestock industry.
The discussion focused particularly on Theriogenology, modern reproductive biotechnologies, breeding and genetics, livestock management, and animal nutrition. Both sides emphasized the importance of practical training, applied research, technology transfer and knowledge sharing for the advancement of the livestock sector.
Vice Chancellor *Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tariq Javed* highlighted CUVAS’s commitment to strengthening university-industry linkages and promoting modern, research-based and sustainable practices in livestock production.
