The ceremony acknowledged their commitment, hard work, and valuable contribution toward the successful implementation of polio eradication activities in District Badin.

10th Muharram-ul-Haram

On the occasion of 10th Muharram-ul-Haram, District Health Officer Badin, Dr. Zahid Hussain Solangi, visited the medical camp established at Shahnawaz Chowk, Badin. He remained present at the camp along with the District Health Management Team (DHMT) to supervise healthcare arrangements and ensure the availability of emergency medical services.

The medical camp remained fully operational throughout the Ashura procession, providing prompt first aid, emergency medical care, and health support to all Azadars, while ensuring timely response to any medical emergencies.

On the occasion of 9th Muharram-ul-Haram, Deputy Commissioner Badin Mr Yasir Bhatti, Dr. Zahid Hussain Solangi DHO Badin, and Assistant Commissioner Badin conducted a joint visit to the medical camps established along Muharram procession routes in Badin.

The officers reviewed the availability of medicines, deployment of medical staff, ambulance services, and overall emergency preparedness to ensure uninterrupted healthcare services for mourners. They also directed the concerned teams to remain fully alert and maintain efficient coordination throughout the Muharram processions to provide prompt medical assistance whenever required.

Review of Muharram-ul-Haram Arrangements at THQ Hospital Tando Bago

District Health Officer Badin, Dr. Zahid Hussain Solangi, conducted an official visit to THQ Hospital Tando Bago to review the healthcare arrangements and emergency response preparedness for Muharram-ul-Haram.

During the visit, Dr. Zahid Hussain Solangi assessed the availability of essential medicines, emergency supplies, and overall preparedness of the health facility to ensure uninterrupted healthcare services during Muharram-ul-Haram. He also reviewed emergency response measures, staff readiness, and the provision of medical services for mourners and the general public.

Review of Muharram-ul-Haram Preparedness

District Health Officer Badin, Dr. Zahid Hussain Solangi, conducted a review of healthcare arrangements and preparedness measures for Muharram-ul-Haram activities across the district.

During the review, he directed all concerned staff to ensure the availability of emergency healthcare services, including adequate ambulance coverage and coordination with Rescue 1122. He also emphasized the importance of monitoring staff attendance, maintaining sufficient stocks of essential medicines, and ensuring readiness to respond promptly to any medical emergencies during Muharram-ul-Haram.

The District Health Officer, Dr. Zahid Hussain, visited RHC Dai to assess the functionality of the health facility and review the performance of the EPI Centre.
Observations:
The EPI Centre was inspected and vaccination records were reviewed.
During the visit, various human resource-related issues were discussed with the Medical Superintendent (MS). Necessary guidance and support were provided from the District Health Office to address the identified issues and improve overall service delivery.

*Training of Vaccinators*

Keeping in view the current immunization situation and under the directions of District Health Officer Badin, Dr. Zahid Hussain Solangi, a refresher training session for vaccinators of Taluka Tando Bago was conducted at THQ Hospital Tando Bago.

The training focused on Routine Immunization Microplanning, EPI recording and reporting tools, and Data Quality Management to enhance the performance and capacity of frontline vaccinators.

The session was facilitated by the DHO Badin and members of the District Health Management Team (DHMT), who provided technical guidance and hands-on support to the participants.
