Barangay Lintangan in the Municipality of Sibuco, Zamboanga del Norte proudly served as the Regional Showcase Barangay for the Synchronized Barangay Assembly Day for the First Semester of 2026, held on March 9, 2026 , anchored on the theme: “Nagkakaisang Barangay Tungo sa Kalinisan, Kaayusan, Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran.”

The activity was graced by Engr. Carmelo Enrique B. Libot, CESO V, Assistant Regional Director and Officer-in-Charge of the DILG Regional Office IX; Mr. Mario A. Baterna, Provincial Director of DILG Zamboanga del Norte; LGOO VII Junefer Bajamunde-Paquibot, Cluster Head; MLGOO Melinda R. Velasco; representatives from various National Government Agencies; local functionaries; and Ms. Ruth Ventura, Municipal Administrator, representing the Municipal Mayor.

The Barangay Assembly Day serves as an important platform for transparency, participation, and accountability in local governance. It provides an opportunity for barangay officials to report to their constituents on programs, projects, financial accomplishments, and governance initiatives. More importantly, it creates a venue where community members can actively participate by raising concerns, sharing ideas, and collaborating with their leaders in shaping the direction and development of their barangay.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Barangay Officials and the people of Barangay Lintangan for warmly hosting this significant activity and for their commitment to participatory and responsive local governance. This SK Advisory is issued to clarify the minimum qualifications for the appointment of a Local Youth Development Officer (LYDO) pursuant to Republic Act (RA) No. 10742, otherwise known as the Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015, as amended by RA No. 11768, and its Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR). This Advisory specifically addresses questions concerning the age requirement for the appointment of an LYDO.

‎Nagpahigayon karon ang Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) alang sa nagsagunson nga audit sa mga Local Government Units (LGUs) aron masiguro ang maayong pagserbisyo sa katawhan.

Atol sa eksklusibong paghinabi sa DXDR‎-RMN Dipolog ngadto ni Provincial Director Mario A. Baterna, kinsa mipasabot sa assessment alang sa Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentive Awards aron sukdon ang kahanas sa mga barangay sa paghusay og mga panaglalis.

‎Gawas niini, gisugdan na usab ang Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit aron susihon ang mga programa alang sa kaayohan sa mga kabataan.
