The 2026 Baliguian Summer League Men’s and Women’s Volleyball Tournament officially came to a successful and exciting conclusion, bringing together athletes and supporters in a celebration of sportsmanship, teamwork, and unity. The tournament showcased the exceptional talent, grit and determination of participating clusters, making it one of the most competitive and memorable tournaments yet.

In the Men’s Division, the Malinao-Mamawan Cluster emerged as champions after a strong and dominant performance throughout the tournament. The Kilalaban-San Jose Cluster secured second place, while the Kauswagan-Lumay-Poblacion Cluster claimed third place honors. Individual excellence was also recognized, with Manuel Tingot earning the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award, while Sumampong of the Kilalaban-San Jose Cluster was honored as the Season’s MVP for his consistent outstanding performance during the league.

Meanwhile, in the Women’s Division, the Kauswagan-Lumay-Poblacion Cluster captured the championship title through impressive teamwork and determination. The Kilalaban-San Jose Cluster finished as second placer, while the Alegria-Mamad-Tan-awan Cluster secured third place. Irene Latosa was awarded MVP for her remarkable contributions on the court, while Lovely Tabo-tabo received the Conference MVP award for her exceptional performance throughout the competition.

The success of the 2026 Baliguian Summer League would not have been possible without the strong support and commitment of the league’s sponsors and supporters. Special acknowledgment is extended to SB Member Abdul Azis Esmali and Mayor Gani A. Esmali Jr. for their unwavering support in promoting sports development, youth engagement, and unity through volleyball.

As the tournament concludes, the league leaves behind inspiring moments of camaraderie, perseverance, and excellence, further strengthening the spirit of sportsmanship among the people of Baliguian.

PCOL REYDANTE E ARIZA, Acting Provincial Director of the Zamboanga del Norte Police Provincial Office (ZNPPO) together with the Provincial Staff and PCPT HARLEY JUNE B MEJORADA, Officer-in-Charge, Baliguian MPS, paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Gani A Esmali Jr, Municipal Mayor of Baliguian.

The engagement reaffirmed the shared commitment of the local government and the Philippine National Police to improve coordination and collaboration toward maintaining peace and order and providing effective public service in the Municipality of Baliguian.
