On June 1, 2026, personnel of Siay MPS led by PCpl Jaypee B Pecore and PCpl Michael Allen D Schuck, conducted Beat Patrol, Police Presence, and Community Dialogue at IBT Siay, Brgy. Dacanay, Siay, Zamboanga Sibugay.

The activity aimed to ensure public safety, maintain peace and order, strengthen police visibility, and build stronger partnership with the community through friendly dialogue and active engagement. Siay MPS remains committed in providing responsive and community-oriented police service for a safer and more peaceful environment.

𝙇𝙊𝙊𝙆// The prompt reporting of a concerned citizen and the immediate response of PNP personnel of Ipil Municipal Police Station (MPS) led to the successful 𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗿𝗴𝘆. 𝗕𝘂𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗻, 𝗜𝗽𝗶𝗹, 𝗭𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝗦𝗶𝗯𝘂𝗴𝗮𝘆, 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟯𝟭,𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝟱:𝟱𝟬 𝗣𝗠.

Personnel of the Ipil MPS received a phone call from a concerned citizen reporting a stabbing incident that had occurred in Purok Scorpion, Brgy. Buluan, Ipil. Acting swiftly on the report, authorities immediately proceeded to the area to verify the incident.

Upon arrival, responding officers found that the suspect, an adult male and resident of RT Lim, Zamboanga Sibugay, was already under the custody of a Barangay Kagawad of Barangay Buluan. The victim, likewise an adult male and a resident of RT Lim, was identified as the suspect's brother.

Initial investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the two brothers figured in a heated argument stemming from personal and family-related issues. During the confrontation, the victim allegedly punched the suspect. Following the altercation, the suspect reportedly proceeded to the residence of a certain individual in Brgy. Buluan.

The victim later followed the suspect, resulting in another confrontation that escalated into a fistfight. During the scuffle, the suspect allegedly drew a bladed weapon tucked on his right hip and stabbed the victim in the right underarm.

The victim was immediately transported to Dr. George T. Hofer Medical Center for medical treatment, while the suspect was taken into custody by Ipil MPS for proper disposition and the filing of appropriate charges.

Investigation revealed that the motive behind the incident was a personal grudge arising from family-related disputes.

Mahimong makamatikod ang publiko og dugang nga presensya sa kapulisan, paglihok sa mga police personnel ug sakyanan, ug mga simulation exercises. Kini mga lehitimong kalihokan aron mapalig-on ang kaandam ug kahusayan sa pagserbisyo sa katawhan.

COMMUNITY TRUST FUELS RECOVERY OF 140 LOOSE FI****MS IN ILOILO CITY

A total of 140 assorted fi****ms were voluntarily surrendered to authorities in Iloilo City, highlighting growing community cooperation in government efforts to reduce the presence of loose fi****ms and strengthen public safety.

The accomplishment forms part of the Philippine National Police’s sustained drive under its Focused Agenda, particularly its Enhanced Managing Police Operations pillar, where emphasis is placed on proactive engagement, trust-building, and closer coordination with communities to address peace and order concerns in a more preventive and collaborative manner.

The Iloilo City Police Office, together with its operational units, credited the steady turnout of firearm surrenders to continued information drives and engagement activities conducted from October 2025 to May 2026. The surrendered fi****ms were formally turned over to the Regional Civil Security Unit 6 during a ceremony at Camp Achilles D. Plagata in Iloilo City.

Alongside the fi****ms recovery, the same initiative provided wider public service access, including licensing and renewal assistance for firearm owners, police clearance processing, neuro-psychiatric evaluation, and drug testing services—underscoring a more integrated approach to police outreach and regulation.

PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., underscored that the success of such initiatives rests on public trust and cooperation.

“Kapag ang komunidad ay nakikiisa, mas nagiging epektibo ang ating trabaho. This is not just enforcement—it is partnership. Ang layunin natin ay hindi lang masamsam ang ilegal na armas, kundi mapalakas ang tiwala ng bawat Pilipino sa kanilang pulis,” he said.

He also emphasized that these continuing gains support the broader direction of the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in strengthening peace and order initiatives that are community-centered and service-driven.

The PNP said it will continue expanding similar efforts nationwide as part of its commitment to sustained public safety reforms and responsive policing, reinforcing its call for shared responsibility in maintaining peace.

This accomplishment reflects the continuing transformation of the organization under the principle of a Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman, where policing is not only visible but actively felt through service, cooperation, and trust.
