🩺 8-Day Medical Mission Success | Care Beyond Our Walls & Philippine Medical Society Northeast Florida in partnership with Metrostonerich Corp., City Government of Zamboanga and the Office of Hon. Hannah M. Nuño
The City Government of Zamboanga proudly acknowledges the successful conduct of the 5-Day Medical Mission spearheaded by the Care Beyond Our Walls (CBOW) Medical Team, led by its President Dr. Charito Sico and the Philippine Medical Society Northeast Florida (PMSNF), headed by Dr. Francis Ong.
Through this noble initiative, CBOW Medical Team effectively delivered comprehensive Out-Patient Department (OPD) services to 5,103 patients at the Zamboanga City Coliseum, and performed 250 critical minor surgical procedures at the Zamboanga Regional Medical Center – Mindanao Central Sanitarium (Bucas Facility).
Meanwhile, the PMSNF Florida Medical Team, in close coordination with local health authorities, successfully conducted life-changing cataract surgeries at Labuan Hospital, benefiting 150 patients through a rigorous pre-screening process in partnership with the City Health Office, Dr. Usman’s Clinic, and Labuan Hospital staff and successfully provided medical services to 2,300 patients at Barangay Taluksangay.
From OPD consultations and minor surgeries to dental care, pediatric and adult services, cataract services, free eye check-ups, and free distribution of eyeglasses led by Dr. Romeo Bangongon, every day was filled with hope, healing, and service.
