Today, the 3rd Year Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) students, in partnership with the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), successfully conducted PROJECT LIGTAS: Life-Saving Initiatives and Guidance for Typhoon or Flood Awareness and Safety for the seven (7) constituents of Barangay 2.
The activity aimed to strengthen community preparedness by providing essential information and practical guidance on typhoon and flood awareness, emergency response, evacuation procedures, and disaster risk reduction measures. Through this initiative, participants were equipped with valuable knowledge that can help safeguard lives and property during emergencies.
The program was also honored by the presence of Hon. RJ Sablan, who attended together with members of the barangay council and staff, demonstrating their support for community-based disaster preparedness efforts.
The organizers extend their sincere gratitude to all participants, barangay officials, and partners who contributed to the success of this meaningful activity. Together, we continue to build a safer, more resilient, and disaster-ready community.
